Arrival
The Pimpama Sports Hub Aquatic Centre is located within the Pimpama Sports Hub Precinct. The precinct includes a range of facilities such as tennis and netball courts, a fitness centre, and a community centre.
The aquatic centre has accessible car parking spaces close to the entrance, with step-free concrete paths and boardwalks connecting the car park to the main entry. A bus stop is conveniently located nearby for public transportation access. The multi-storey complex houses all aquatic activities and is a focal point for visitors.
People may participate in sports, make use of the playground, or gather in the barbecue areas, with the combination of open green spaces and modern sports facilities creating a dynamic environment.
Entrance and Café
The entrance to the Pimpama Sports Hub is through automatic glass sliding doors. Inside, the space is large with grey tiled flooring and wide glass windows that allow in natural light. To the left is the reception counter with high and low sections, and to the right is the café. The café area has tables, chairs, high stools, and varied seating arrangements.
In the centre, glass barriers control ticketed entry to the aquatic centre. Behind the glass barriers is a small retail offering swim gear and accessories. Visitors may be queuing at reception, eating in the café, or sitting in the seating areas. The setting combines social interaction with recreational activity.
Indoor Aquatic Centre
To access the Indoor Aquatic Centre from the main entrance, turn right past the café area, then turn right to enter through the automatic glass sliding door. Inside is a large indoor facility with three zones: a toddler learn-to-swim pool, a 25-metre lap pool, and an indoor programs pool. All pools have ramped access with handrails.
Accessible amenities include a Changing Places facility with a hoist, adult change table, and shower with grab bars, located adjacent to the entrance. Bench seating surrounds the pool areas, providing space for resting or spectating. Visitors may be swimming or seated along the pool edge.
Indoor Programs Pool

It is enclosed by glass and wooden walls, providing a distinct separation from the main pools. Entry is through an automatic glass sliding door that opens into a controlled, quieter space with limited movement compared to other zones. The pool is equipped with hoists, aquatic wheelchairs, and ramps with handrails for safe and easy water access.
The environment is slightly more humid, supporting therapeutic activity. The space accommodates individual therapy, gentle rehabilitation exercises, and small group sessions. Visitors may be using the equipment with the assistance of staff or engaging in low-impact water activities, creating a calm and focused setting.
Childrens Splash Park
The children’s splash park is an outdoor space located between the indoor and outdoor aquatic centres, with direct access from the nearby café via steps or ramp. It contains water features including sprinklers, spouts, and tipping buckets. Concrete pathways lead through the area, and bright yellow shade umbrellas provide sun cover.
Tables and chairs are placed nearby for parents and carers to supervise. The space is accessible with ramps and wide paths suitable for strollers and wheelchairs. Children may be seen playing and running through the water, while the air carries a mix of fresh outdoor scents and chlorine.
Outdoor Aquatic Centre
The outdoor aquatic centre is accessed through an automatic glass sliding door to the right of the reception desk. A ramp with handrails leads to the pool area. To the left are the amenities, including an accessible unisex toilet with shower and baby changing station, equipped with a push button for locking and unlocking.
The centre features a 50-metre, 10-lane pool, heated at 28 degrees Celsius. The pool is partially covered by a large industrial shade structure. Yellow shade umbrellas are positioned on the grassy embankments, alongside tiered seating and sun loungers. Visitors may be swimming laps, resting under the shade, or enjoying views of the surrounding greenery, with sunlight reflecting off the water.
