Arrival at Eltham Leisure Centre

Eltham Leisure Centre is a large, low-set building with a curvilinear design and metallic cladding façade, nestled amongst tall gum trees, creating a nature reserve-like atmosphere. The adjoining car park is well-shaded, with sections separated by the trees.

The car park, some under the shade of trees, is located adjacent to the building's entrance. To enter the facility, there are steps with handrails and a ramp with handrails leading to the entrance. Tables and chairs are conveniently positioned near the ramps.

Right wing of the Eltham Leisure Centre is made of glass and rusty metal cladding. The front area of the right wing of the main entrance has significant shading to protect cars and guests during parking. Arrow signs on the road pointing to where guests could park is also visible.
Left side of the Eltham Leisure Centre portion shows a magnificent architectural design which is a combination of wavy, grey metal and glass. The building's glass facade reflects the tall gum trees and blue sky, creating a nature-reserve experience.
In front of Eltham Leisure Centre is well-shaded parking, surrounded by tall gum trees with dense foliage, protecting cars and people from the heat of the Sun. A speed bump sign is also placed to warn drivers while parking
A staircase with a metal handle to guide people while entering the main entrance of Eltham Leisure Centre. The percolated roof, brick wall, and colourful chairs provide adequate shade for the waiting area at the entrance door.

Entry at Eltham Leisure Centre

The entrance area within Eltham Leisure Centre serves as a multi-functional space and central hub, facilitating movement between various sections of the facility. Upon entry, the main reception desk and turnstile gates are immediately visible.

The timber-colored reception desk and various partitions delineate the internal entry areas. Beyond these partitions lies a café, a seating area, and a small retail space displaying swimwear.

Movable tables and chairs are arranged near the retail area, inviting visitors to sit and relax while enjoying a light meal or coffee. A smaller entrance leads towards the gymnasium. Male and female bathrooms are also available in this area.

The heartwarming smiles of the receptionists wearing blue uniforms at the main reception desk and turnstile gates will immediately welcome you inside the Eltham Leisure Centre. Above them is a signboard saying, “Welcome to Eltham Leisure Centre.”
Directly opposite the receiving front desk is a Cafe with a seating area for you to chill and relax and a small retail area showcasing swimming attire of different colors and designs perfect for kids.
At the right side of the seating area is a trash bin and a ramp heading towards the restroom. The restroom is noticeable by its vibrant orange painting on the walls as well as the elegant paintings displayed near its passageway.

Aquatic Centre at Eltham Leisure Centre

The Aquatic Centre features a large, singular space with high ceilings that encompasses four distinct pool areas. Ample glass walls and skylights ensure the area is well-lit with natural light, complemented by additional fluorescent lighting.

Upon entering the aquatic area, the 8-lane, 25-meter pool is immediately visible, with the rehabilitation pool located further beyond. To the left upon entry are the learn-to-swim pool and the splash pool. Lifeguards in red and yellow uniforms can be seen patrolling the area, ensuring safety for visitors.

At the entrance of the Aquatic Centre at Eltham Leisure Centre is an 8-lane, 25-meter pool. The 8-lane is separated by red, white, and blue balloons, and the pool is well-lit by natural lighting passing through the ceiling.
The walls at the end of the 8-lane, 25-meter pool are made of white, blue, and grey tiles, which allude to the feeling of water, sea, or ocean. A string of blue and white flags is placed vertically across the pool.
Within each lane of the 8-lane, 25-meter pool are diving platforms labelled from 1 to 8. However, a no-diving sign was put on top of each diving platform.
Surrounding the starting line of the 8-lane, the 25-meter pool is a 1.4-meter elevation with different sign boards laid at the top of it to inform guests what lanes are for the public, slow lanes, and more. The left side of the pool has a staircase and a ramp.

Gymnasium at Eltham Leisure Centre

Moving directly to the right from the main entrance at Eltham Leisure Centre is the gymnasium, accessible through a turnstile gate where members can swipe their membership card. A step-free entrance, featuring a manual glass door, opens into a room with high ceilings and bright fluorescent lighting.

The gymnasium is equipped with modern cardiovascular, resistance, and weight machines, including treadmills, elliptical machines, stationary bikes, various benches, and weight machines.

The floor is covered with black rubber tiles, and the ceiling is white, enhanced with ample fluorescent lighting. Multiple industrial fans are mounted on the walls to improve air circulation.

A timber desk and turnstile gates at the entrance of the Gymnasium at Eltham Leisure Centre. The gymnasium has glass walls that entice you with different pieces of equipment available for you to try.
A disinfection certificate is mounted at the left side of the main entrance door of the Gymnasium at Eltham Leisure Centre. Several treadmills are lined directly at the main entrance.
Left side of the entrance is the locker and a lot of gym machines for workouts. Hitting up a conversation with another guest is possible due to the closeness of the machines.
Lag pulldown, leg press, cable bars, hanging leg raise, and more are the gym equipment at the Gymnasium in Eltham Leisure Centre. The black, white, and yellow theme of the place makes the Gymnasium feel elegant.

Stadium at Eltham Leisure Centre

Entry to the Stadium at Eltham Leisure Centre is via a heavy set of double doors with Yellow/Black safety tape. A team member may provide assistance to open the doors upon request.

The stadium has very high ceilings covering a space of two indoor multi-sport courts for badminton, basketball, netball, or volleyball and stadium seating. The ceilings have ample skylights and supplementary fluorescent lighting. The polished timber floor allows for a low level of glare and an echo is evident.

Adjacent to the dark grey reception desk at the entrance of Eltham Leisure Centre is the glass door with yellow and black safety tape. On the right side of the door is an evacuation map.
Gymnasium is divided into two courts. The first court is labeled as “Court 1” while the 2nd court is labeled “Court 2”. Separating the two courts is a net.
At the side of the two courts is a grey stadium with 4 steps that can accommodate at least 100 people. At the edge of the stadium is a metal railing that separates the audience from the players.
Lower, section of the left and right side of the stadium is a space dedicated or reserved for persons with disability. Further left is the exit door and fire extinguisher mounted on the wall near it.

Yoga Studio at Eltham Leisure Centre

The yoga studio at Eltham Leisure Centre is situated on the second level. Access to the studio is via a single set of stairs or an elevator, both located directly behind the main reception area.

The studio overlooks the aquatic centre and features glass frosting to maintain internal privacy. The rectangular room is decorated with grey walls and grey carpeting, which includes large, repeating blue rectangular carpet tiles designed to mimic the appearance of blue yoga mats.

Elevator is made of timber and silver-grey metal and is equipped with Up, Down, and Stop buttons indicated by the red circle in the middle.
Outside the yoga studio are wood and metal benches, healthy plants, white cabinets, and trash bins. The interior color is white and grey carpet tiles.
A well-ventilated yoga studio with glass walls, grey and blue rectangular carpet tiles, and wooden platforms for handheld during yoga practice. The front wall is painted grey while the ceilings are purely white.

Child Care at Eltham Leisure Centre

A child care facility is located via a white corridor beyond the entrance to the stadium at Eltham Leisure Centre. Moving inside the double doors is a child proof safety fence.

Inside the child care facility are bag storage cupboards, multiple child size desks to complete various activities and many toys and games to play. A second set of double doors leads to an outside play area with a sand pit, shaded play set and open grassed areas.

Different costumes for kids are hung in timber-made cabinets. Chairs are arranged carefully at the tables and all toys, drawings, and paintings, are well-organized.
Right side of the exit door towards the sand pit playground is a baby crib with a number of stuffed toys hanging on the sides. The crib has soft pillows and blankets with a cute cat and Barbie print on them.
A grass area near an obstacle course and a sand pit play area. The sand pit play area is covered by a large tent that provides enough shade. The venue is also surrounded by tall trees that give fresh air to your children.
