Wurdi Baierr Stadium Visual Story
Arrival & Parking
The Wurdi Baierr Stadium, located in Wadawurrung Way in Torquay, Victoria, is a low-set building with corrugated irregular-shaped metal panels on the main roof. The architecture combines concrete and glass, with striking red panels.
The parking area includes clearly marked accessible car parking spaces, with a smooth pathway and concrete ramp leading to the entrance. The stadium is surrounded by well-maintained gardens and a sports field. The entrance features automatic sliding doors. Visitors are likely arriving for sports events, creating an atmosphere of anticipation and excitement.
Reception & Meeting Spaces
Upon entering through the double automatic sliding glass doors, the reception desk is directly ahead. The desk is sleek, with a white surface and a blue accent. The floor has geometric patterns, and large windows allow natural light to fill the space.
Hearing loops are available from the reception area on request. At the back of the reception desk is the Kiosk offering cold drinks and light snacks. A seating area is adjacent providing a space for visitors to relax.
To the left is a small meeting room enclosed by glass walls, accessible through an outward-opening glass door. To the right is a larger meeting room with similar design features, including carpeting. Both rooms provide functional spaces for meetings or collaborative work.
Courts 1 & 2
Courts 1 and 2 at Wurdi Baierr Stadium are modern spaces with high ceilings, large glass windows, and polished wooden floors marked for various ball games. The industrial ceiling features exposed beams and ample lighting. To access the courts from the entrance, turn right and go through an inward-opening glass door.
The courts have tiered seating for spectators. Along the corridor and across from the courts’ entrance are the amenities, including an accessible bathroom with a toilet, shower, grab bars, and a Changing Places room equipped with a hoist and adult changing table.
Courts 3 & 4
Courts 3 & 4 feature polished wooden floors and a mix of glass and wood elements. Manual inward-opening glass doors provide entry. Along the corridor are the amenities which include a unisex toilet with a shower equipped with grab bars, a shower bench, and a hand basin.
These courts are used by the school during the day and are open to the public after school hours. Tiered seating is available for spectators. To reach these courts, follow the second corridor to the right of the reception and enter through an outward-opening glass door.
