Arrival at White's IGA Mt Coolum

White's IGA Mt Coolum, situated on David Low Way, is a low-set building with a dark wooden and timber façade prominently displaying the facility's name. It is located within a community shopping village, with a car park adjoining the store. A pedestrian crossing connects to other shops in the village and ensures step-free access from the car park to the store. 

There is also one accessible car parking space positioned directly in front of the store entrance. Shopping trolleys are located to the left of the entrance, adjacent to the ATM. Access into the store is via automatic, glass sliding doors.

White's IGA Mt Coolum has a red oval-shaped sign with white IGA letters located on the façade. The building design is modern and is painted with grey and brown. There are shopping trolleys available outside the store and an ATM. There are also several parking spaces in front of the building indicated by painted white lines that served as space partitions for each car. There is an accessible car parking space available directly outside the store.
White's IGA Mt Coolum is set within a community shopping village with carparking directly adjoining the store. A pedestrian crossing connects to other shops in the village and provides a step free access from the car park into the store. There is one accessible car space positioned directly out the front of the store entrance. The store is readily identifiable from David Low Way.
To the left, there are grey poles and a cash machine marked as "DCATM" next to a small shopping cart corral. The path leads to a slightly elevated concrete area where a white storage unit is positioned. On the right side, two large glass doors open into a store labelled "WHITES MT COOLOM", with promotional signs displayed next to them. The floor is a mixture of concrete and tiles with yellow and white lines marking pedestrian crossings.

Moving around White's IGA Mt Coolum

Upon entering White's IGA Mt Coolum, directly ahead are cold display units featuring packaged meals, as well as cheeses and snacks. Around on the left is the fruit and vegetable section, while further to the end is the meat and dairy section adjacent to speciality and gluten-free items. Further along, there are six wide aisles with a variety of grocery products, all neatly displayed. 

A significant feature is the extensive refrigeration and freezer units lining the internal walls, containing dairy, perishable, and frozen goods. The floor surface is a combination of vinyl and timber and is smooth and step-free. Moving towards the exit, there is a hot food section, bakery items, and a display of flowers and gifts.

This section of the grocery store is where you will find cold drinks and snacks. There are also fruits and vegetables with signage on the wall stating, “Fresh & Local”. A rectangular stand in the middle of this section offers different fruits such as grapes, pineapples, apples, oranges, watermelons and more. Plants placed in a wooden plant pot can be seen at the sides of the fruit section. Display of chilled and frozen goods can be found on the left side of this section.
The left side of this section is the extension of the fruit rack and next to it is where you can buy gourmet, specialty and artisan goods. A long display rack is on the right with dried pasta, pasta sauce, and other items like nuts. At the end of the aisle, a chiller is placed where you will find yoghurt and other chilled products. Half of the aisle floor is brown that designates the fruit and vegetable section while white on the other side indicates a completely different section of the shop.

Checkout at White's IGA Mt Coolum

At the checkout, service staff scan each product to calculate the total cost of the groceries. Items should be removed from the shopping trolley or bag, and each item is individually scanned before being placed back into the bag or trolley.

After all items are scanned, the service staff member will ask about the preferred payment method, offering options including credit card and cash. 

Assistance can be provided during the checkout process if needed. Please ask the friendly staff. The exit is through automatic glass sliding doors.

This payment section of the grocery store offers three available white counters. There is a selection of bread items on display to the right with signage above stating “Night Buns”, “Bake for More” and “Food You Knead”. The plastic shopping bags are also available in each counter that has a reminder to the customer: “I choose. Re-use”. Two more counters are available at the other side of this section with a range of gum and lollies on display.
