Arriving at White Ridge Farm

Arriving at White Ridge Farm is via a winding road that leads to open gates through a timber entrance surrounded by colourful banners and towering, green trees. There are numerous car parking spaces to the left as well as a larger car parking area to the right.

To the right is the Ticket Office and Café which is a smaller style shed with a range of hot and cold drinks, ice creams, and other snacks available for purchase. Leading up to and past this area are wide and paved pathways.

On the right is the ticket office, which also serves as the café, painted in white and dark blue. There are two entrances to the ticket office with a ramp on the left side of the entrance to the ticket office. Next to the entrance lamp is a medium-sized brick planter box with a plant that has orange leaves. The next entrance to the ticket office is via a rough pathway that has lost all grass. Two large rubbish bins stand next to this second entrance.
Outside the ticket office are two metal banners. One banner has images of snacks on it while the other banner shows the entrance charges for the White Ridge Farm. Next to the ticket office is a large green bush. At the door to the ticket office is a male manikin dressed like a cowboy in a polka-dotted white shirt, black trousers, a cowboy hat and a red scarf on the neck.
A male manikin is right of the entrance to the ticket office. He is dressed in a cowboy belt with a gun strap to the right. The moustache-filled manikin holds a blackboard of the different hot drinks offered at the café from coffee to hot chocolate and tea. Inside, the ticket office has grey walls with a wooden white painted floor. There is an ice cream refrigerator, shelves with snacks and a cold drinks refrigerator.
This is a map of the White Ridge Farm. It shows an aerial view of the farm. The bird aviaries are at the furthest end of the left side of the farm and there are trees at that part of the farm. The interactive animal area is on the furthest end of the right side of the farm where it is divided into an outside interactive area, a section for the chickens, ducks and piglets, and a golf playing area. At the centre of the White Ridge Farm is the school barn. the party bar and the big barn.
An illustration and explanation of the different parts shown in the map. It shows the different attractions at the farm, birds, animals and guest comfort areas. Each place’s exact location is shown by the different map references. The attraction can be accessed every day and the animals are available to be fed every day.

Moving down to the Interactive Animal Area

Moving along a path there are a range of animals in fenced off enclosures which include descriptive signage and information in regard to the animals within that area. These animals include Llamas and Alpacas, sheep, ducks and chickens.

A Putt Putt golf course is located in the top corner and features a small course across a dirt and foliage covered ground surface surrounded by shrubs, trees, and grasses. Excited children can be seen running throughout this area enjoying meeting the animals.

Down the path from the ticket office is the toddler playground which is in a fenced area on the right that has blue roofing. On the other left, is a manikin a cow. The gate leading to the toddler playing ground has the signage, “BARRIER ROOFING 0408 40822”. The wooden fence also houses the big barn and the party barn which both have red roofing and white walls. Right across the entrance to the toddler playing area is a green rubbish bin.
Right before the big barn is an enclosed shed. At the edge of the shed are two goats feeding. The shed is fenced with wood and has well-trimmed grass. Within the enclosed shed is a large tree. A solar panel hangs on one of the edges of the wooden fence. A woman and a child are petting an animal in the interactive animal area.
At the entrance to the animal enclosure, an alpaca is feeding. The entrance gate is a red signage telling the difference between a llama and alpacas, The signage is written in white. The signage has a llama and an alpaca drawn to show the difference. The llamas are portrayed as being larger than the alpacas. A blue trash can stands right next to the entrance enclosed shed.
The big barn leads out into the interactive animal area. On each side of a cemented pathway are enclosed places. Visitors are on the pathway watching the animals. A gentleman is inside feeding the chickens which are in their shed. There is a sitting bench write outside the chicken area where guests can sit. Next to the chicken area are three trash cans; one small yellow trashcan and two green trash cans with yellow and green lids respectively.
The bird aviaries have ducks, geese and chicken. A lady is feeding the birds as a young baby girl looks on. There are different breeds of ducks in the bird aviaries. Inside the bird aviaries is a pergola where the chicken get some shade on a sunny day and where they eat from. There is a chicken coop inside the bird aviaries that are covered in grey iron sheets. A black water tank is also in the middle of the bird aviaries. Surrounding the bird aviaries are many trees.
There is a chicken enclosure at the White Ridge Farm that is fenced with wire mesh. The birds are being fed by visitors. A female guide is handing some chicken feed to a child and her mother to feed the birds. There is a water hole at the furthest corner of the birds’ enclosure for the birds and the ducks to swim. The enclosure also has a pergola covered with a creamish net that acts as a shaded area.
At the bird aviaries’ enclosure are three people. A guide helps the two people, mother and daughter to feed the birds. She is holding a white container with chicken feed to feed the chickens. There are a variety of birds in the enclosure including different duck breeds band chicken breeds. A feeding area for the birds is attached to the chicken coop. The birds’ enclosure is fenced with wire mesh to keep the birds inside. A large tree with grey bark is at the furthest corner of the enclosure.
At the interactive animal area is a llamas’ enclosure. Outside the big barn is a yellow and green trash can that is right outside an animal enclosure for the llamas. The green gate to the animal enclosure has another signage showing the difference between a llama and an alpaca. A green poster has also been placed outside the gate to the Llamas’ animal enclosure.
A putt golf course is at the top corner of the White Ridge Farm. It has a metallic green gate. The golf course is covered with dirt and foliage and is surrounded by shrubs, trees and grasses. Outside the golf course are three large and small trash cans. Outside the golf course is a cemented pathway that is also a good ground for children to play around as they watch the animals.
At the toddler’s play area is an animal enclosure for the Llamas from where visitors can feed them. The enclosure is fenced with a wooden fence and wire mesh at the bottom. Three is a cemented pathway around the enclosure for visitors. Opposite the animal enclosure is the resting area for the visitors coming to the White Ridge Farm. The enclosure has a large blue-roofed tent and a small resting area covered with a small blue umbrella.

Moving up to the School Barn, Aviaries & Alpacas

Following the paths towards the back of the property is a range of barns used for parties, school activities and other presentations. This area also includes more animal enclosures for Alpacas and other farm animals.

There is also a childs playground and a range of seating options many of which are under umbrellas or shaded by the large trees. Bathrooms are located in this area and one features a baby changing facility and a low set toilet with grab rails. Hand wash basins are also available.

A blue metal gate leads the way into the interactive animal area. Between A large palm tree grows by the gate and underneath it is a blue trash can. The interactive animal area is fenced with a wooden fence and has three large trees have no branches.
Further into the interactive animal area is an animal enclosure with three young alpacas and a brown pony. The brown pony is in a different enclosure from the Alpacas. On the animal enclosure is a signage that reads, “Feed us like this!” and proceeds to show a person’s flat hand with some food on it. At the end of the enclosure is an animal shed made with rusted iron sheets and feeding troughs.
The outside interactive area has animal enclosures where there are llamas and alpacas. The enclosures have sheds made of rusted iron sheets. A small metallic gate leads into the animal enclosure. The animal enclosure is covered with bare soil and a few large trees. Outside the animal enclosure are rubbish bins of different sizes.
At the toddler’s play area are kids' play areas and sitting areas. The sitting areas are made of wood and are covered by blue umbrellas and some are covered under the shade of the trees. At the entrance to the play area is a sign with ‘Asphalt Worx’. The path leading to the play area is cemented with two slides on either side. There is a cream-covered pergola under which the children get to play. There is a pergola at the end of the play area that is also a rest area.
There are five bathrooms at White Ridge Farm. The bathroom doors are painted white and are separated into three bathrooms on one side and two bathrooms on the other side. In between the two sets of bathrooms is a plant with red leaves in a white pot. There are two hand wash basins placed between the two bathrooms with green plants surrounding. On the left side of the bathrooms is a plant with yellow leaves at the edge.
The White Ridge Farm has a bathroom that is painted white. There is a brown-coloured baby changing table. Inside the bathroom is a white and blue low-set toilet with grab rails. Besides the toilet is a garbage bin for disposing of the used sanitary pads. There is a toilet roll hanging in the bathroom and another toilet roll that has been placed beneath the changing table. In the bathroom are three posters placed on the walls.
Opposite the toddler’s play area is the signage of the White Ridge Farm that leads to the private residence. Behind the signage is a large green tree whose overgrown branches provide quality shade. The toddler’s play area is furnished with two children's slides. Two children are seen playing on the second slide. The maroon-roofed party barn is right opposite the children's slides.
Directly opposite the toddler’s play area is a cow manikin on the well-trimmed lawn. Surrounding the toddler’s playing area are potted green plants. Outside the play area are two rubbish bins and a metallic banner reading, ‘Specialty coffee’. A dusty path from the toddler’s play area leads to the party barn which has a maroon roof that is at the back of the property.
