Arrival at Tweed Valley IGA
Tweed Valley IGA is located off Tweed Valley Way and next to a McDonald's drive-through restaurant. There is ample parking spaces in front and on the right side of Tweed Valley IGA, with two accessible car parking spaces. Three pathways are available from the car park to the entrance doors.
A ramped entry begins directly underneath the bright IGA sign and next to the nest of shopping trolleys. A second ramp begins further to the right of the building and a staircase with handrails is situated between the two ramped entry options.
Tactile are installed on the concrete surfaces before the ramps and stairs. There are stack of recycled boxes near the entrance, allowing customers an eco-friendly alternative to plastic bags.
Fresh Food & Deli
Upon entering Tweed Valley IGA, shopping baskets are stacked on the left. Bright fluorescent lights illuminate the space, revealing a striking black-and-white tile pattern. Toward the left section houses the Delicatessen. In the centre, a well-organized display of fruits and vegetables is presented.
On the right, a stand holds pamphlets, flyers an flowers. Further inside toward the left, there are the Produce, Seafood, and Meat sections. Banners provide information about the specific products in each area. Shop assistants in black uniforms are available to assist customers through out the entire Tweed Valley IGA.
Grocery Aisles
In the Tweed Valley IGA, 6 grocery aisles are situated toward the back half of the store behind the fresh produce and Deli areas. The grocery aisles are filled with a vast array of dry produce and household goods.
The external perimeter of the aisles are full of refrigerated and frozen items causing a noticeable temperature drop in these areas. Staff may be observed unpacking boxes and restacking shelves during any store opening times and customers pushing trolleys throughout the store.
Checkout
The checkout zone is located near the entrance and features four counters along with a dedicated express checkout counter. Beyond the checkout counters are display racks presenting a variety of greeting cards, gift wraps, and magazines as well as a colourful selection of fresh flower bouquets placed near the glass door on the right.
This area has ample natural light streaming in through the expansive glass walls. Whilst waiting in queue to pass through the check out area, the view through the glass walls over the lush trees and Tweed River supports a natural and pleasant ambiance.
