Tranquil Getaways on Obi Maleny is surrounded by lush greenery, along Obi Obi Creek in the Maleny township. A wide concrete driveway leads to multiple parking spaces, including a designated accessible car parking space.

From the parking area, a step-free concrete pathway guides visitors to the entrance. The Obi House building is a low-set structure with a sloped roof, featuring concrete, timber, and stone. The area is bordered by trees and a well-maintained garden, adding to the peaceful, natural setting.

Obi House & Yoga

The Obi House is a multi-purpose space that has a step-free ramped entry, blending stone and timber elements, with a manual outward-opening glass door. Inside, the space is open, with a sloping roof, spotlights, and dark timber flooring. Large windows provide a tranquil view of Obi Obi Creek.

To the left is a full kitchen equipped with a stove, fridge, and oven, adjacent to a dining table. A corridor leads to a bathroom with a freestanding bath, an enclosed shower, and a separate toilet. The area also includes yoga, a massage space, and a moveable wall that can be closed to make a third bedroom and contains an extra sofa bed. The atmosphere is calm and accessible, ideal for relaxation, massages, or yoga.

Villa 5 (Enhanced Accessibility)

Access to Villa 5 is via winding timber ramps with handrails, leading to a light-coloured structure with a spacious veranda overlooking lush greenery and a creek. The entrance is through an inward opening door. Inside, the air-conditioned living area combines a sitting space and kitchenette and a small dining table on the right. A couch and TV are directly ahead, while a sliding door opens onto the verandah with a seating area facing the greenery. 

On the left, a wooden door leads to a bedroom featuring a king bed which can be split into two single beds upon request. The bedroom has bedside lamps and an ensuite bathroom fitted with a toilet and shower with grab bars, a jacuzzi, and a shower bench.

Villas 1 to 4 (Regular Accessibility)

Villas 1 to 4 offers a cozy, romantic setting nestled in nature. The exterior features a stepped entry with a wooden deck and metal railings, leading to a modern interior with a small kitchen, living area, and bedroom. Large windows and a balcony provide views of lush greenery and Obi Obi Creek. The bathroom includes a walk-in shower and a Jacuzzi bath overlooking the creek.

The atmosphere is calm and serene, ideal for relaxation. There are sounds of nature, including birds, cicadas, and flying foxes. On rare occasions, there are sprinkler sounds coming from the tops of the trees which the Sunshine Coast Council has installed to manage the Flying Fox colony that may roost nearby at times.

Down by the Creek

The area around Obi Obi Creek is a serene natural setting with lush grass and tall trees. A wooden ramp and stairs provide access to a small viewing platform near the water's edge. 

The natural surroundings have wildlife. When observing the creek visitors may see water dragons, ducks, fish, and platypus. In the trees, visitors may observe birds such as Currawongs, Kookaburras, and Magpies, and in the distance, there may be flying foxes. Visitors can enjoy quiet moments on benches or the platform, immersed in nature.
