Pimpama Sports Hub Visual Story
Arrival
Pimpama Sports Hub is situated on the north of the Gold Coast and includes an aquatics centre, fitness centre, tennis and netball courts as well as a community centre. Parkland surround the site with a playground, barbecue facilities, and an event space for hire. The precinct sits on undulating land with native trees, plants, and wildlife. A bitumen road loops around with parking near key facilities, each with accessible car parking spaces.
Concrete paths and boardwalks link activity areas. The main building is a large concrete, metal, and glass structure with a bus stop nearby. Clear signs direct visitors to many different sporting facilities. The atmosphere includes nature sounds, distant sports activity, and people arriving for leisure or sport.
Aquatic Centre
The Aquatic Centre is located at the end of the Pimpama Sports Hub roadway and includes a café and gymnasium. Accessible car parking spaces are available nearby with step-free access via concrete pathways. The building entrance has automatic glass sliding doors. Inside, the foyer is open with modern design and natural light. Reception and the café are positioned at the entrance, with barrier gates for access control.
The Aquatic Centre features a 50m outdoor pool, outdoor children’s splash park, indoor toddler pool, 25m lap pool, and a separate indoor program pool. Accessible features include step-free entries, ramps, aquatic wheelchairs, accessible bathrooms, and a Changing Places facility.

Gymnasium
The gymnasium is located on Level 1 of the sports hub and can be accessed through barrier gates to the left of the main reception. Stairs and an elevator provide access to the first floor, where the gym reception is directly ahead. To the left of the elevators is an accessible bathroom equipped with a shower and grab bars. Inside the gym, the flooring transitions from tiles at the entrance to rubber matting in workout areas.
Cardio machines such as treadmills, stationary bikes, and cross-trainers are positioned to face large windows overlooking the outdoor 50m pool. Rowing machines, strength training equipment, including weight machines and free weights, are arranged in designated sections. The space is often busy, with people engaged in various exercises, producing a steady rhythm of movement and activity.
Community Centre
The Community Centre, located within the larger sports hub, has a dedicated entrance to the left of the main building. A ramp with handrails leads to an automatic glass sliding door. Inside, carpeted floors and bright fluorescent lighting provide a well-lit environment. A dedicated reception area is directly ahead, with bookable meeting rooms, conference rooms, and function halls nearby.
The space supports meetings, conferences, and community events, with a calm, purposeful atmosphere designed for both work and social interaction.

Tennis Centre
Downhill from the main sports hub is the tennis centre, with eight competition-size courts and a hot shots court for junior players. All courts have bright blue surfaces that contrast with the surrounding gum trees and grass and are accessible via ramps, steps with handrails, and wide pathways. Terraced seating and shaded areas with yellow umbrellas provide viewing spaces.
A Pro Shop is in the shared foyer with the aquatic and community facilities. An accessible bathroom, fitted with grab bars is available beside the courts. Visitors are likely to be playing tennis, watching matches, or relaxing in the seating areas. The atmosphere is lively and energetic, with the sounds of tennis balls and players' interactions filling the air.
Playground
Situated higher up the hillside, the children’s playground can be reached by a winding step-free ramp or a series of stairs. It sits beneath established gum trees, providing consistent shade throughout the day. The area includes climbing frames, slides, and swings, with soft fall ground covering for safety. Picnic tables are positioned beside the play area, often used by parents or carers watching their children.
From this spot, there is an elevated view over the main Pimpama Sports Hub, allowing a clear sight of the sporting fields and buildings below. The space is filled with the sounds of laughter, energetic play, and casual conversations, creating a lively but contained environment.
Netball Courts
The netball courts are located on the left-hand side upon entering the main Pimpama Sports Hub grounds. The courts have bright blue playing surfaces bordered by greenery and established trees, creating a defined playing area. There are 12 courts in total, suitable for both local and regional level events.
A grassed training space sits alongside the courts, with shaded areas for spectators nearby. The facility is supported by a clubhouse that includes administration offices, amenities, changing rooms, accessible bathrooms with grab bars, and storage areas.
The space is frequently used for games, training sessions, and events, attracting players, coaches, and community members, creating a lively and active environment.
