Arrival at Lakeside Leisure Centre

Lakeside Leisure Centre, situated at Athllon Drive & Anketell St in Greenway, is a low-rise structure made of glass, concrete, and brick, highlighted by red and blue trims. The circular-shaped concourse is a large and generous space with brick steps and a shaded portico.

The car park, including three accessible car parking spaces, is conveniently positioned directly adjacent to the main entrance. A step-free ramp from the car park leads to a concrete path and the entrance. Bicycle racks are situated on the right side of the building for added convenience.

Entrance at Lakeside Leisure Centre

Entrance to Lakeside Leisure Centre is via two sets of automatic, glass sliding doors. The reception is directly to the left, whilst access to the creche is to the right. The reception counter has a timber façade, harmonizing with the timber floor, and includes a lower section for seated assistance.

Swimming goggles are showcased behind the reception desk, and additional items for sale are displayed at the left and right of the entrance doors. The ceiling features a corrugated design with circular fluorescent lights, and ceiling fans.

Glass windows surround this area providing an abundance of natural light. Directional signs and notices are displayed around the reception and entrance.

Aquatic Centre & Café

To access the Aquatic Centre and Café, veer left past reception and proceed down the corridor to the automatic glass sliding doors on the right. Inside, a concrete median with a handrail separates the café on the right from the wall on the left.

Tables and chairs are located by the café selling a range of salad bowls, fresh-cut sandwiches, wraps, burgers, and deep-fried foods. Further ahead on the left are the Steam Room, accessible change rooms, and the 8-lane, 50m Lap Pool accessed via stairs with handrails.

On the right is the program pool, a toddler wading pool with step-free access, and further to the right is the spa. Located outside is the splash park with water sprays and waterfalls.

Gymnasium

Moving down the corridor past reception and aquatic centre, is the gymnasium and the aerobics room. The first glass door leads into the gymnasium, via an outward-opening door. Once inside there are storage shelves on the right, directly ahead leads to the free weights area and moving to the left are the cardio machines.

Moving further down the corridor through an outward opening glass door leads into the aerobics room. This is a bright and open space with a mix of fluorescent lights and natural light. The floor transitions from carpet to polished timber.

On the left side, weights and punching bags are arranged, while on the right there is a platform for the instructors with a wall covered in mirrors.

The entrance to the Gymnasium is through an outward-opening glass door equipped with posters. Safety banners and stickers are affixed to the walls on both sides. Inside, medicine balls are arranged in a rack. Further in, the floor transitions from carpet to polished timber. Gym equipment is displayed on the end near the wall. The ceiling is white with circular LED and fluorescent lights.
