Arrival at Great Lakes Aquatic and Leisure Centre
The Great Lakes Aquatic & Leisure Centre, located on Lake Street in Forster, is a low-set building featuring concrete, brick, and glass elements. The parking area is directly in front of the building and includes four accessible car parking spaces close to the entrance.
From the car park, access to the building is available via stairs with handrails or a ramp with handrails. The surroundings are open, with trees and greenery enhancing the natural environment.

Entrance & Reception

On the right is a small retail area displaying swimwear and accessories, with goggles displayed behind the reception desk. Further inside to the right is a seating area with tables and chairs overlooking the pool. An accessible bathroom equipped with a toilet, shower, grab bars, and a shower bench is adjacent to the seating area.
Visitors are likely checking in, asking for information, or purchasing items.
Indoor Aquatic Centre
The indoor swimming pool area is spacious and well-lit, with a high ceiling featuring skylights. Access is through an outward-opening glass door.
To the right is the Kids and Toddler Pool with shallow water, equipped with stairs and handrails for easy entry. Next to this pool is the spa, secured by a metal fence.
Further ahead is the 25m pool with 8 lanes, featuring stairs with handrails and a pool hoist. An aquatic wheelchair is available. On the right, tiered seating offers space for spectators to sit and relax. Safety signage and warnings are displayed throughout the area.
Kids Play Gym
The Kids Play Gym is a bright space designed for children's activities, featuring a mix of brick and glass. The area has colourful play structures, including slides, climbing frames, and interactive wall panels. The carpeted surface provides a soft and safe space for play, while large windows allow natural light to brighten the area.
The play gym is located to the right of the reception desk and is accessible through an outward-opening black metal gate. Across the area is a seating section with tables and chairs for parents to relax. The atmosphere is lively, with children playing and parents watching nearby.
Gymnasium
The gym area has a modern design with brick and wood panelling. Access is via an inward-opening glass door, reached by turning right from the entrance. On the way, the pool and seating area are on the right, followed by an accessible bathroom. A storage rack is positioned near the gym entrance.
Inside, the gym features treadmills, weightlifting equipment, and other exercise machines. The flooring is a mix of carpet and rubber, ensuring comfort and safety. The space is brightly lit with fluorescent lights. The atmosphere is energetic, with people likely participating in workouts, classes, or personal training sessions.
Multipurpose Courts
To access the Multipurpose Courts from the main entrance, turn right toward the gym area, then make another right into the timber-floored corridor. At the end of the corridor, turn left to reach the Multipurpose Court.
The Multipurpose Courts is a spacious indoor sports facility featuring glass and metal accents, along with polished timber floors. The gym area is located on the left. The court is divided into two sections: one with blue carpet and the other with timber surfaces, both clearly marked for various sports.
A long wooden bench provides seating for spectators. The atmosphere is energetic and focused, with participants engaged in sports, fitness activities, or training sessions.
