Danny Frawley Centre Visual Story
Arrival & Parking
The Danny Frawley Centre is a two-storey building on Linton Street, Moorabbin. The building's façade features a modern design with dark and light panels, large glass windows, vertical louvres, and prominent signage bearing the facility's name displayed in black, white, and red. Residential houses surround the area, and the St. Kilda Football Club is located next door.
Two accessible car parking spaces are adjacent to the entrance, near the main reception and pool. From the parking area, there is step-free access to the front door, which is an automatic glass sliding door. Bicycle racks are also available at the left side of the building near the main road.
Entrance & Reception
Entering through the automatic glass doors, the reception is directly ahead. To the right is the pool area, while to the left is the entrance to the rehab pool. Next to the entrance of the rehab pool is the lift to the first floor. Cushioned chairs are placed against the wall for convenience.
Moving forward from the entrance, there is a lobby leading to the amenities. The first door on the right is the male change room, followed by a unisex toilet, and then the female change room. A manual glass door opens to the football field at the end of the lobby.
Main Pool
From the main entrance, turn right and enter through the automatic glass sliding door. Ahead is the pool, equipped with stairs and a ramp with handrails for entry. To the left is the male change room, followed by a unisex toilet and shower, then the female change room. Next are the storage lockers.
Moving further left, there is an outside shower and three family change rooms, with bench seating along the far wall. The ceiling is high, with exposed structural elements and large green acoustic panels to manage sound. Large white ventilation ducts run along the ceiling, ensuring proper air circulation.
Rehab
From the reception, turn left and enter through the automatic glass sliding door to the rehab pool. The pool is straight ahead, with an accessible adult change facility on the right. To the left of the entrance, find two aquatic wheelchairs and a ramp into the pool.
Moving along the left side leads to the recovery area, with a step up to the right. Showers are on the left, and four ice baths are on the right. Ahead and down a step to the left are two saunas.
Forward and right through an open door is the Hyperice Lounge, featuring green accents and dimmed lighting. Adjacent to the saunas is an all-gender change room and shower, with a unisex toilet and shower next door, leading back to another reception area.
Downstairs Gym
The gym is on the left side of the building and is accessed through an automatic glass sliding door. Moving through this door, the reception is directly ahead, with a seating area on the left. To the right is an inward opening glass door that leads into the gym.
Inside, cardio equipment is on the right with views over the field. On the left are free weights, and in the centre is an additional exercise area with more machines. At the far end, an outward opening door leads outside towards the field.
The ceiling is painted dark green, with large white acoustic panels, exposed structural elements, and ductwork for an industrial look. The flooring transitions from concrete to matting and timber.
Upstairs Studios
Entering through the automatic glass sliding doors, the gym reception desk is directly ahead. To the right are stairs with handrails leading upstairs. At the top of the stairs, to the right, is a small boardroom and the lift.
For easier access, there is an elevator on the right side of the building's entrance that leads to Level 1. Moving left is a seating area overlooking the football field. To the left, through an inward opening glass door, is a small corridor with seats and storage units on the right.
Moving ahead, the first door on the right leads to the Pilates room, and the yoga room is further ahead. Back in the lobby, proceed straight ahead to find another reception table and all-gender accessible bathrooms.
