Arrival at Caboolture Pool and Fitness Centre

Located in Caboolture Queensland, the Caboolture Pool and Fitness Centre is a low-set, long grey building with dark roof lining set amongst very large gum trees and a small carpark beside a busy road.

There are two accessible car parking spaces available within a short distance across bitumen and concrete pathways leading to the front entrance. There is step-free access from the car park leading to a ramp with handrails, allowing wheelchair users to easily access the entrance.

Entrance to Caboolture Pool & Fitness

A permanent breezeway allows access to the aquatic centre from the car park. There is a noticeable, angled surface to move from the car park to the reception counter area.

Located within reception is a retail store selling typical swimwear and goggles items. A black gate creates a physical barrier to entry from the retail area into the aquatic centre. Directly ahead is the 50m swimming pool, to the left is the heated swimming pool, and to the right, is the gymnasium.

Moving around Caboolture Pool and Fitness Centre

Directly beyond the reception area is a 50-metre pool, with a small heated pool to the left and the gymnasium to the right. The 50-metre pool features blue and white floating lane ropes and is equipped with stairs with handrails. A pool hoist, ready for use by those with limited mobility, is also available.

Additionally, shade structures, barbecues, and smaller splash pools are located around the perimeter of the pool. An accessible bathroom, equipped with a toilet with hand grabs, a shower with bench and handrails, and a hand basin is situated to the right. The pool is located near the gymnasium and accessible with a ramp with handrails.

Heated Pool at Caboolture Pool and Fitness Centre

There is a small heated pool with an accessible ramp entry in a warehouse style building with low level lighting internally as well as natural light filtering through the windows. 

Hanging from the ceiling are blue flags as well as a colourful 'Nemo'. Pool lessons occur in this room with parents and carers sitting and watching whilst others are splashing and playing in the water. There are accessible bathrooms approximately 20 metres from this location.

Gymnasium at Caboolture Pool and Fitness Centre

To the right of the reception and up a small ramp is the gymnasium at the Caboolture pool and fitness. Access is through a double glass door that leads into a moderate-sized gym.

Inside are substantial cardiovascular and weight resistance equipment including Treadmills, Press Machines, Leg Extension/Curl Machines, Smith Machines, and free weights.

The gymnasium has grey tile floors, grey walls, and a low-level ceiling with fluorescent lighting. The fitness gym is fitted with an array of equipment designed for individuals in wheelchairs.
