Arrival at Beerwah Community Hall
Beerwah Community Hall on Peachester Rd is a modern building with a wide, accessible entry of concrete and glass. The exterior is surrounded by greenery, creating a calm atmosphere. The car park offers ample spaces, including six accessible car parking spaces directly adjacent to the entrance.
Step-free, wide concrete pathways lead from the car park to the entrance, which features an automatic glass sliding door. Outside, there are public toilets and seating areas for relaxation. Visitors likely attend community events or use library facilities, enjoying a calm and welcoming environment.
As the Beerwah community hall is self-service, there are no staff in attendance on site.
Foyer
The foyer opens into a spacious hall with polished wooden floors and high ceilings, creating a bright, open environment. Large windows let natural light fill the space. Entering through the automatic glass sliding door, the reception window is positioned on the right.
On the right side, an inward-opening door leads to a commercial kitchen. On the left side, the amenities include male, female, and a unisex accessible toilet with grab bars, and a baby changing station.
Kitchen
At Beerwah Community Hall, the kitchen area is on the right of the entrance, including a servery window facing the foyer. Accessed through an inward-opening door, the kitchen is organised with stainless steel appliances and countertops, providing a clean, efficient setting for cooking.
A large stove, microwave, and ample counter space support meal preparation. Open shutters connect the kitchen to an outdoor area, enabling easy serving. The area is suitable for people preparing meals, organising ingredients, and serving food.
Main Hall
The main hall at Beerwah Community Hall is a spacious hall with a polished wooden floor and a main stage at one end. The walls are lined with large windows, allowing natural light to flood the space. Ceiling fans are evenly distributed for ventilation.
The hall includes a storage room containing tables and chairs for use by hirers at their events. A roller door allows easy access to the store room. The windows open to allow access to a timber deck and views of the greenery.
Accessibility features include wide doors and a flat floor, making it easy to navigate. People are likely to gather here for performances, meetings, or social events. However, there is no ramp access to the stage, stairs only.
Stage Right
The Stage Right area features a spacious design and a polished wooden floor, offering a quiet space for preparation. An accessible bathroom is located within and equipped with handrails and a bench for comfort.
Stage Left
The Stage Left area is a functional space with wooden floors and white walls, accessible through an inward-opening door on the right of the stage. A small set of stairs with a handrail provides easy stage access. The backstage area contains audio production and lighting equipment and controls. An accessible toilet with grab bars and a foldable seat is available.
Store Room
The storage room is located on the left side of the main hall, accessible via an outward opening door and roller door. The room has concrete walls and a high ceiling with exposed beams. The concrete floor provides a smooth surface for movement. The room contains a variety of chairs and tables, neatly stacked and organized. Accessibility is straightforward with a doorway and a roller door for easy movement of items.
