Arrival at Altitude Nine
Parking at Altitude Nine includes 2-hour on-street parking around Maroochydore City Centre, (free from 9am-5pm weekdays). Sunshine Coast Parade Car Park offers free parking after 5pm on weekdays, with an hourly rate capped at $6 during business hours. ParknGo Multistorey Car Park is free for the first hour, with an hourly rate thereafter.
Entry to these car parks is via Sunshine Coast Parade and 4 Lightning Lane, respectively. For entry after 5pm to Altitude Nine, use the Lightning Lane entrance; a team member will greet and direct you to the lifts to Level 9. During business hours (8.30am-5pm), access is via sliding doors on Lightning Lane or First Avenue, with staff available in the lobby to assist.
Entry into Altitude Nine
To access Altitude Nine from the parking area, follow the smooth, step-free pathways leading to the ground reception area accessible through an automatic glass sliding door. Proceed to the gated entrance located to the left of the reception desk and take one of three lifts to Level 9. Upon reaching Level 9, turn right and enter through an automatic glass sliding door.
Directly ahead is the bar set up with drinks and food during events. Further in, there is an outward-opening glass door leading to the balcony. On the right, there are tables and seating area, with more seating arranged in front of a large TV. Back to the bar area, there is a corridor on the right leading to the bathrooms and a glass door leading to a balcony.
Event & Function Space
Moving through the glass sliding door from the lifts and facing the bar, turn left. Based on the event, the furniture layout may vary. Inside, venue features a modern design with round white ceiling panels, timber flooring, and large glass windows offering views of the ocean and surrounding buildings.
Moving directly ahead past the tables and chairs are manual outward-opening doors leading to another balcony that wraps around the southern side of this floor, with tables and chairs outside. Moving around to the left, there are couches and coffee tables arranged against the glass windows and walls. Directly ahead is a large TV enclosed in a cabinet.
Green Room
The green room offers a quiet oasis amidst the buzz of events. From the Altitude Nine entrance, head toward the bar area and veer left, passing the small tables and poufs on the left. Continue through a corridor adorned with timber and wooden panels, and enter through an inward-opening door. Inside, the room features an arrangement of tables and chairs, with a curtain dividing the space and a glass wall decorated with a tropical design.
To the left, large windows offer a view of the balcony. Exiting back into the corridor, a right turn leads to the bathrooms, while continuing straight ahead leads to an outward-opening glass door leading to the balcony. A large indoor plant and a concierge lectern are positioned in the corner.
Amenities
From the entrance, move right and to the end of the bar, then turn left down a corridor. On the right is an all-gender accessible bathroom with an inward-opening door, accessed by pressing a large green button. It has a toilet with a grab rail and a baby change station. The hand basin is adjacent, and pressing the tap top turns it on, the black button locks the door, and the green button opens it.
Further along, past the service lifts on the left, the next door on the right leads to the male toilets with three hand basins, three urinals, two regular stalls, and one ambulant toilet with grab rails. Next are the female toilets with three hand basins, a hand dryer, three regular cubicles, and an ambulant toilet with grab rails.
Balconies
To access the main balcony used during events from the Altitude Nine entrance, turn right towards the bar and proceed through an outward-opening glass door. The main balcony offers a spacious, step-free area with wooden ceiling panels, ceiling fans, and downlights, equipped with high tables and chairs.
The balcony provides a stunning view of the mountains, ocean, and local buildings. Additionally, another balcony wraps around the southern side, furnished with extra tables and chairs, which can be accessed by turning left from the entrance and entering through an outward-opening glass door.
