Reception & Café

Entry is through automatic glass sliding doors into a bright and colourful space. Tables and chairs are on the left, while on the right is a fridge with a range of cold drinks for sale as well as an ice cream freezer. Directly ahead is the reception counter and café, featuring a brown wooden design and a blue countertop with a glass display.

Indoor Aquatic Centre

Access to the Indoor Aquatic Centre is via an inward opening glass door located  at the right of reception. Directly ahead is the toddler wading pool with a fountain, and located behind is the activities pool for rehabilitation, and relaxation.

On the left is the 8 lane, 25m heated lap pool equipped with stairs with handrails. Tiered seating is on the left, while plastic chairs are arranged along the walls. A prominent feature of this space is the exposed galvanized steel beams with translucent roofing providing significant natural light.

Black rectangular mats are suspended from the ceiling as sound insulation batts to reduce noise. Unisex bathrooms are available and include an accessible bathroom on the left.

Outdoor Aquatic Centre

To access the Outdoor Aquatic Facility, use the outward-opening glass door located to the left of the reception. Picnic tables are positioned on both sides under shade cloths. Directly ahead, there are 3 concrete steps leading up to the pool deck. Alternatively, a ramp with a handrail is on the left. A pool hoist is located at the far-left corner.

The 50m outdoor pool is equipped with stairs with handrails on all sides. Further along on the right is the Picton Swim Club office. Extensive trees and hedges provide privacy from the surrounding car park and the aquatic centre is bordered by grassy knolls and picnic tables, inviting customers to relax after a swim.

To enter the Sports Hall, turn right from the reception and go through the double white wooden doors on the left, which open inward. Inside, the Stadium are two basketball courts with tiered seating on the left. A black mesh curtain is suspended from the ceiling, creating a separation between the two courts.

The floor is in a contrasting blue colour, marked for various ball games. The ceiling has an industrial look, featuring exposed metal beams with lines of polycarbonate corrugated roofing that provide natural light.

Gymnasium

To access the Gymnasium, turn right from reception and pass down the long corridor passing the Sports Hall on the left and accessible bathroom on the right. At the farthest end, enter through the outward-opening glass door. Inside, the gym welcomes visitors with a slightly cooler temperature and a transition to thick black rubber tiles on the floor.

A rack for belongings is on the right, and to the left is a display rack showcasing kettlebells. Moving further in, weights and exercise balls are on the right, while Lat pull-down machines and Lateral machines are arranged in the middle.

The far end features the free weights area and includes mirrors on the wall. Cardio machines including treadmills line the main windows.
