Upper Coomera Centre Visual Story
Arrival
Upper Coomera Centre, located on Reserve Road, has several facilities including multipurpose, activity and meeting rooms. At the front entrance is a spacious parking area with step free, concrete pathways and clear directional signage. There are five accessible car parking spaces, each connected to a marked pathway leading directly to the building.
The carpark is bordered by greenery, with trees and low hedges offering natural shade. Visitors are seen arriving, parking vehicles, and heading towards the entrance. The overall setting promotes ease of access and a steady flow of foot traffic into the venue.
Entrance
The community centre is a lowset building with a glass and metal panel exterior. Entry is through an automatic glass sliding door leading to a white-tiled foyer. In the centre of the foyer is a seating area. To the left is the entrance to the community centre. To the right is the library and reception desk. An automatic sliding door next to the reception provides access to other areas.
Corridors have clear signage directing to rooms and facilities. At the end of the corridor is an accessible bathroom fitted with a shower and grab bars. The layout supports easy movement, with open spaces and level flooring. Visitors may be seen heading to activities, meetings or the library. The setting supports calm interaction and quiet engagement.
Kitchen
The community kitchen is located on the left as you enter the building, with access to Hall 1. It features a modern design with stainless steel surfaces and ample lighting. The kitchen is fully equipped, including large refrigerators and preparation tables. Roller doors provide convenient service access.
The area is spacious, allowing for easy movement, and includes high tables and chairs for seating. People are likely to be preparing meals, serving food, or engaging in community events. The atmosphere is functional and collaborative, with a focus on efficiency and community engagement.
Multipurpose Halls
Multipurpose Hall 1 is a large space with a high ceiling, wooden flooring, and wide outward-opening doors leading from both the foyer and the community centre. One wall has large windows that bring in natural light, while storage cupboards along the side wall hold tables and chairs for flexible arrangements. At the far end, outward-opening glass doors connect to a courtyard with bench seating.
Next to it, Multipurpose Hall 2 is accessed through an outward-opening door from the lobby. This hall also has wooden flooring and a high ceiling with acoustic panels. Large glass doors open to a courtyard, and a projector screen is fixed at the front. A backroom provides storage for equipment and furniture, making the layout practical for meetings, presentations, or group events.

Meeting Rooms
Meeting Room 1 is the first room on the right from the corridor, marked by clear signage and entered through an inward-opening door. It has carpeted flooring, a central table with chairs, a TV on the front wall, green patterned walls, and power points for devices. Meeting Room 2 is larger, with carpet flooring, a table and chairs, a wall-mounted TV, and a small kitchenette.
Meeting Room 3, at the end of the hallway on the left, has white and grey walls, a large table, a TV, and a kitchenette, with bay windows overlooking traffic and gardens. Meeting Rooms 4 and 5 are off the lobby, both with inward-opening doors.
Meeting Room 5 is compact with glass walls, while Room 4 is larger, with abstract wall designs and a sliding door to a courtyard. Meeting Room 6, further along the lobby, is carpeted with a long table, red-accented walls, and access to an outside courtyard. The meeting rooms support meetings, presentations, or group discussions.
Art Workshop
The Art Room, accessible through an inward-opening door, is a bright, open space designed for artists to thrive. The room features large glass windows that let in natural light, creating an inspiring atmosphere. The concrete flooring is smooth, and the walls are a mix of glass and neutral tones. A long bench and a sink are available for art activities, while tables and chairs can be stored away to maximise space.
Sliding doors open to a courtyard with concrete flooring and seating, offering a seamless indoor-outdoor experience. People are likely to engage in creative activities, painting, or socialising, with a calm and focused atmosphere.
Youth Space
The Youth Space is a large, open area designed for social interaction and creativity. The room, located at the left side of the lobby is equipped with an inward-opening door. The room features a central table for group activities and a pool table at one end, encouraging leisure and play. A TV screen is mounted on the wall for entertainment.
The space is well-lit with wide bay windows offering views of the patio and garden, with blinds for privacy. People are likely to engage in games, interact, or watch TV, creating a lively and energetic atmosphere.
