This bus stop services routes 604, 606, 608 and 609. Access to the building is via an automatic glass sliding door. Visitors might feel the warmth of the sun and a gentle breeze as they approach the entrance where they can engage in social gatherings or attend various events.

Arrival at Undercover Parking

The underground car park, accessible from Nutley Street, has a low 1.9m ceiling and a shift in lighting upon entry. The structure is primarily concrete, with yellow directional arrows guiding vehicles through the space.

Near the elevator and staircase, there is one accessible car parking space. Visitors can choose to take the stairs with handrails or the elevator, both accessible via an automatic glass sliding door, leading to the reception and upper level. The environment is functional and industrial, prioritising convenience and accessibility, ensuring an easy transition from parking to the main facility.

Box Office & Foyer

Beausang Room

The Beausang Room is a multipurpose space for meetings, functions, or extra seating during shows. From the main entrance, the room is located on the left, directly opposite the Box Office, accessible via an inward opening door.

The room has a combination of glass and metal, with large windows allowing natural light inside. The carpeted floor and diverse seating create a professional yet comfortable setting. A projector and sound system are installed, supporting presentations and meetings.

Attendees may sit in groups, listening to speakers or participating in discussions. Some may take notes, while others engage in workshops. During events, patrons may sit in this area while waiting for the theatre doors to open. The space adapts to different needs, ensuring a functional environment for various events.

Kings Theatre

The Kings Theatre at The Events Centre, located at the left of the main entrance, is a large, flexible space designed for events, conferences, and gala dinners, accommodating up to 820 people seated. The architecture features wide corridors and double outward-opening wooden doors leading from the theatre.  

The lighting transitions from bright fluorescent to dim coloured lights, enhancing the event atmosphere. An accessible bathroom with a push-button door is conveniently located outside the entry. Visitors will likely engage in attending events.

The Glasshouse

The Glasshouse is a versatile space designed for various events, featuring a combination of carpet and wooden floorboards. The area is spacious, with high ceilings and large windows that let in natural light. Chairs and tables are set up and can be rearranged as needed. There is a bar that caters to events held in this space. 

To access The Glasshouse from the main entrance, head straight, pass the colourful couches, and enter through the double outward-opening doors. The space accommodates different event configurations and setups.

Playhouse Theatre

The Playhouse Theatre at The Events Centre has tiered seating for up to 320 people, suitable for plays and small concerts. The architecture combines modern and classic elements, with carpeted floors and comfortable seating.

The Playhouse Theatre is located by turning right from the entrance and passing the cafe. A staircase with handrails provides access to the theatre. The venue includes manual outward-opening doors and a step-free entrance through the Sethna Pumicestone Gallery, ensuring accessibility to the first two rows (Rows A and B).

To the right of the stairs are the bathrooms, including a unisex accessible bathroom with grab bars, hand basin, and mirrors. The layout supports ease of movement for all visitors.

Café

Seating is available both indoors and outdoors, with tables and chairs arranged for casual dining. The area is lively, with people likely enjoying meals, and drinks, or moving purposefully between events.
