Arrival at Sportsmans Parade
Sunshine Coast Stadium is the central hub of the Kawana Sports Precinct. Sitting on 45 hectares, the sports precinct hosts an array of events including international, national, state and local games, training camps, community events as well as major live entertainment events. The Sunshine Coast Stadium's main entry is at Sportsmans Parade, Bokarina while the Kawana Sports Precinct's main entry is at Nicklin Way.
When arriving at Sportsmans Parade, visitors pass by the boom gate. Parking includes accessible car parking spaces. There are smooth step free pathways leading from the car park to the entrance and reception.
Entrance & Ticketing at Sunshine Coast Stadium
The ticketing office at Sunshine Coast Stadium is a low-set brick building with a large glass window. The entrance has a glass sliding door, and the surrounding area features wide, pathways with clear signage. Following the concrete pathways to the right of the Ticket Office leads to the stadium.
The stadium’s modern architecture combines metal and glass, with two staircases featuring handrails marked as Gate 1 and Gate 2. Inside, the floor is carpeted and there are large glass windows, providing natural light. Sports memorabilia is displayed on the right-hand wall, while a seating area is positioned on the left. An accessible bathroom, fitted with grab bars, is located further along the corridor to the left.
Spectator Seating at Sunshine Coast Stadium
The Spectator Seating area at Sunshine Coast Stadium features a modern design with concrete and metal structures. It includes an elevator for as well as stairs equipped with handrails. The seating area accommodates 1,046 patrons, with an additional general admission capacity of 10,000 for games.
The seating area includes designated spaces for wheelchair users. A bar within the area offers drinks and snacks, adding to the convenience for spectators. The atmosphere is vibrant and energetic, with the excitement of sports events creating a lively environment.
Corporate Seating at Sunshine Coast Stadium
The corporate box area at Sunshine Coast Stadium has concrete walls and large glass windows that provide wide views of the field and surrounding area. The interior includes a mix of carpeted and tiled flooring, creating a tiered layout for seating.
Access to the corporate lounge area is through an inward-opening glass door. Inside, the space is carpeted and air-conditioned, with tables, chairs, and a small bar area serving hot and cold drinks. During events, the area is busy as guests use the balcony seating to view the field or gather around tables inside.
Hill Seating & Amenities
The Hill Seating Area is a large grassy expanse next to the Grandstand constructed from concrete and metal. A paved walkway surrounds the field, which is enclosed with fencing. Tall floodlights are positioned around the area for evening events. Nearby, a toilet block includes facilities for males, females, and an all-gender accessible bathroom fitted with grab bars. The area is commonly used for sports activities and spectating games.
Team Changeroom at Sunshine Coast Stadium
The team change rooms are spacious and air-conditioned, featuring a modern design with concrete walls and carpeted floors. The rooms can be configured into two large or four smaller spaces, providing flexibility. Lockers line the walls, and there are ample seating areas and spaces for belongings. The bathroom is spacious and fitted with a shower with grab bars.
Sports Field at Sunshine Coast Stadium
The Sports Field at Sunshine Coast Stadium has a rectangular main field, three grassed viewing hills, and a grandstand that can hold over 1000 people. The field is a large, well-maintained grass surface surrounded by tall floodlights. Adjacent to the field is a grandstand with concrete structures and vibrant blue seating. An entrance tunnel provides direct access to the field.
Arrival at Nicklin Way
The Stadium features another entrance located at Nicklin Way. The parking area is spacious and surrounded by greenery. The road is paved and lined with trees, providing some shade. Signs are visible, indicating speed limits and prohibited items. The parking area is well-marked with arrows and designated spots, including accessible car parking spaces.
Sports House
The Sports House features a low-set concrete building with large glass windows and a ramp for wheelchair access. Adjacent to the building is a covered seating area with tiered seating for spectators.
Nearby, accessible bathrooms with handrails are available. The facility also includes a home changeroom equipped with bench chairs and shower areas. The grassy field is open and spacious, designed for various sports activities. The atmosphere is lively during events, with people engaging in games, spectating, or relaxing in the seating areas.
Brothers Rugby Facility
The Brothers Rugby Facility is a sports complex with a focus on rugby. The building is made of concrete and has a modern, functional design. It features a large open field surrounded by tall light poles, indicating it is used for evening games.
The building includes a canteen and shaded seating areas with picnic tables, providing a place for spectators to relax. The facility includes a ramp leading to the building and an accessible bathroom with grab bars and a shower.
Gymnasium
The gymnasium is located in a low-set building with a concrete and corrugated façade. Parking spaces are available near the entrance, which features a wide concrete ramp.
Inside, the gym has a spacious layout with black rubber flooring. Exercise equipment, including weights, benches, and cardio machines, is arranged across the space. The gym is well-lit with fluorescent lighting. The layout supports smooth movement and ease of access for visitors.
Finish Tower
The Finish Tower is a modern metal-clad building located by Lake Kawana. Large windows provide expansive views of the water. Paved pathways lead to the entrance, which includes a concrete ramp with handrails.
Inside, the space is air-conditioned with tiered seating and tables and chairs positioned to face the lake. The surroundings are calm, with people often walking, jogging, or relaxing while enjoying the view of the serene riverside location.
Western Fields
The Western Fields are accessible from the Milieu Place, Warana entrance and features a large car park with accessible car parking spaces and marked pedestrian crossings. Paved, step-free concrete pathways lead from the car park to the Clubhouse.
The Clubhouse is a concrete building with a functional design. Inside, tables and chairs are arranged, with trophies displayed and large windows providing views of the field. Nearby, accessible bathrooms with grab bars and a spacious change room with bench chairs are available. Tiered seating is positioned facing the field.
