Spicers Clovelly Estate Visual Story
Arrival & Reception
To reach Spicers Clovelly Estate, turn right off Balmoral Road and proceed down the tree-lined driveway continuing towards reception past Montville House which is across from the car park. There is one accessible car parking space with step-free access via bitumen to a stone and concrete path to reception.
Additional parking is available by following the driveway to the left. Move through the archway and follow the path, transitioning from the pathway to the tiled floor over a small lip and entering reception. A moveable ramp is available for access. The low-set building features a blend of traditional and modern styles with a gabled roof and dormer windows. The entrance is covered by a modern glass and metal structure.
The Long Apron Dining Room
The Long Apron is an elegant indoor dining room primarily used for dinner, accessible from the reception via a small step up. To the left is a bench seat next to a fireplace, with more seating further ahead. Towards the right is a lounge area, and to the left is a bar with wine glasses overhead and high stools.
Further to the left leads into the dining room, mostly used at night during busier times. The floor transitions from tiles to timber. Down each side of this room are tables with bench seating, while down the middle are moveable tables and chairs with views over the garden. The room is equipped with air conditioning and heating. The ambiance is enhanced by piano music, modern art, and geometric accents.
The Long Apron Terrace
The veranda features a tiled floor with moveable tables and chairs, ceiling fans, and heaters, accessible via a small step or ramp. The area is open to a garden view with large umbrellas and outdoor seating, surrounded by green grass, trees, and a garden.
The roof is made of corrugated iron, with exposed beams providing shade and a rustic aesthetic. The verandah leads to a garden with stone steps and grassed areas, eventually reaching a pool.
Bathrooms
Moving from the couch, there is a small corridor with the kitchen on the right, the dining room on the left, and stairs directly ahead. Veer to the right, and there are two bathrooms. The first door on the right leads to a toilet with grab rails and a hand basin.
The second door leads to a toilet with a vanity, toilet, mirrors, and a hand basin. Both bathrooms have inward-opening timber doors. The floor has peach tiles, and the walls are painted cream with a white ceiling featuring recessed lighting.
The Library Deck
The event space includes a covered outdoor dining area with a timber floor, long table, and timber and rattan chairs, shielded by heavy plastic. From The Long Apron, use the sliding door, follow the timber walkway down a slight incline to the event space. Pass the table and chairs on the left and a small bar with stairs on the right to the gardens.
Continue and turn left up a step into the library. Use the ramp or three steps down to the large, covered space with a long dining table and chairs. At the stairs' bottom, turn left for ramp access or right down three steps to the gardens. The area is lush with greenery and garden views.
Estate Suite 5
To access Suite 5, from the restaurant follow the timber walkway down to the left and enter the first door on the left. Move through the inward-opening glass door. Inside, the interior has a timber floor and on the left are stairs to the next floor. Directly ahead is a small lip leading out to the parking, and to the right is Suite 5, accessible through an inward-opening white door.
The floor transitions from timber to cream carpet, with a table on the left and a seating area. To the right of the entrance is the bathroom, with step-free access to an enclosed shower, toilet, vanity, and hand basin. The bedroom is equipped with a king bed, a TV mounted on the wall, bedside furniture, and a door leading to the garden.
Accessible Estate Suite 8
To access Suite 8, move from the library along the timber floor, veer left, and unlock the door. The floor transitions from timber to carpet. In the room directly ahead is a king bed with cream pillows, cover, and linen, a TV, a cabinet, a chair, and a door leading out to the veranda. To the right of the entry is a walk-in wardrobe with shelves, hanging space, and a luggage desk.
On the right, there's a bathroom with a light tiled floor, a vanity with a mirror, a hand basin, a toilet with grab rails, and a shower with step-free access. The bathroom also has a glass sliding door to a small outside garden. There is step-free access to this room from the back parking area through an archway.
Pool & Grounds
The pool is located down a slight slope of grass and a stone pathway with steps that leads to a pergola serving as an entrance. The pergola is surrounded by rose bushes and climbing plants. There is a rectangular pool with a sculpture of a woman lying on the edge, sunbathing.
On the left side, there are lounge chairs and large umbrellas, offering a relaxing spot to enjoy the sun. The surrounding landscape includes well-maintained lawns and a variety of trees and shrubs, with trimmed hedges creating a peaceful and natural environment.
