Arrival at Singleton Gym & Swim
Singleton Gym and Swim, located on Civic Avenue, is a low-set building with concrete and glass elements and blue and white panelling. Bright fluorescent red signage is displayed prominently for easy identification.
The area is a rural township with flat, open spaces and a large bitumen car park. Parking is adjacent to the building and includes four accessible car parking spaces near the entrance. A bus stop and bicycle racks are also available close by.
Step-free concrete pathways connect the car park to the entrance, which features automatic glass sliding doors. The environment is calm, with visitors likely engaging in fitness activities or swimming.
Reception & Café
The entrance area has a double automatic glass sliding door leading inside. The interior is carpeted with large glass windows allowing natural light to flood the space. On the right is a seating area, and on the left is a reception desk with a blue façade.
Visitors can enter through a turnstile barrier near the desk. Adjacent to the reception is a café with tables, chairs, and a couch arranged for relaxation. A nearby retail section displays swimwear. Visitors are likely to check in, enjoy the café, or proceed to the pools.
Rehabilitation Pool
The Rehabilitation Pool is located next to the reception, accessible via a manual sliding glass door, and is designed for adult rehabilitation and aquatic therapies. Glass walls allow natural light to brighten the space, creating a calm and focused environment.
The pool is surrounded by non-slip concrete flooring, with clear safety signage. It is equipped with stairs and handrails for easy access. A spacious accessible bathroom with grab bars and a shower bench is nearby.
Indoor 25m Pool and Toddler Wading Pool
The 25m indoor pool area is located under a white dome roof made of permanent shade sail material supported by industrial arched beams. Entry is through a glass sliding door directly ahead, past the turnstiles.
A carpeted area with tables and chairs provides seating for visitors. A small concrete ramp provides wheelchair access to the pool area. The 25m pool is directly ahead, equipped with a ramp with handrails for entry. To the left is the toddler wading pool area.
The atmosphere is humid due to the indoor pool, creating a warm and inviting space. Visitors are likely swimming, relaxing by the poolside, or engaging in water activities.
Outdoor 50m Pool
The outdoor swimming area is located in a rural setting with wide open spaces. The pool is surrounded by a concrete deck and shaded by large canopies, offering protection from the sun.
Access to the area is through an outward opening glass door from the indoor pool. Directly ahead is the kids’ splash area, featuring a small slide, shallow water, and various water features. To the left is the 50m pool with eight lanes, equipped with stairs and handrails for easy entry.
The atmosphere is calm and inviting, ideal for relaxation or exercise. Visitors are likely swimming, relaxing by the poolside, or enjoying the surrounding greenery
Gymnasium
To access the gym, turn right from the entrance and follow the corridor past the turnstiles, passing the crèche on the right and the bathrooms on the left.
The entrance is through an outward-opening glass door. Directly ahead is the main gym, which has a storage rack for belongings. Cardio equipment, including treadmills, rowing machines, and bench machines, is arranged throughout. Strength training machines are set up in a separate room to the right of the main gym.
Further in, an outward-opening door leads to a spacious room designed for group fitness exercises. The room features a small podium, black rubber tiles, bright yellow walls, and a floor-to-ceiling mirror.
Crèche
The crèche is a children’s playroom with colourful walls featuring playful artwork and educational posters. The floor is carpeted, providing a safe and comfortable space. The area is divided by low black railings into distinct zones filled with toys, playhouses, and activity mats. Large windows on one side allow natural light to brighten the space.
To access the crèche from the reception, turn right along the corridor and enter through an inward-opening glass door. The environment is lively, with children engaging in imaginative play, learning activities, and socialising.
Spin Room
The Spin Room is a modern indoor cycling studio with a sleek design. The walls are painted in a calming blue, and the room is illuminated by blue LED lights, creating an energetic yet soothing atmosphere. The floor is carpeted, providing a soft surface.
The studio is equipped with stationary bikes arranged in rows, and large glass windows offer a view into the main gym area. The entrance has an outward opening glass door, ensuring easy access. People are likely to engage in high-energy cycling classes, feeling motivated and invigorated. The atmosphere is lively and focused, with a sense of community and shared purpose.
