Arrival at Pelican Park Recreation Centre

Low-set, white, modern Pelican Park Recreation Centre building designed close to the boat harbor on the water's edge. There are steps with metal handrails leading up to the entrance as well as a ramp. Cars are parked in two accessible car parking spaces located within easy access to the entrance. Near the yellow and black pedestrian crossing signage are curvy metal structures to park bikes. Surrounding the venue are well-trimmed bushes maintained at a certain height and pine trees.

The parking space close to the entrance is filled with cars. A type of tree from the palm family can be seen on the right within the garden boxes filled with bushes.

Entrance to Pelican Park Recreation Centre

Entry to Pelican Park Recreation Centre is through the automatic, double glass doors with white metal frames. The brand logo can be seen on the glass to the left as well as the operations hours and phone number. Visible through the glass doors is a black and white striped floor mat and the parking lot is filled with cars, also reflected on the glass, too.
After passing through the automatic, double glass doors are the retail area and the blue reception desk with white parallelogram painted shapes. The retail area has a range of sporting equipment, in particular swimming goggles and suits for kids for sale. There is a square table with a pink cloth cover within the retail section. This floor has a black and white stripe floor mat.
Swimming trunks and swimsuits of different colors are hung from metal displays on the walls of the retail section. A 30% off sign can be seen on the upper right and in front of kids’ swimwear. A receptionist wearing a blue polo is busy with their computer. Just a few steps after the automatic double glass doors is the square table covered with pink cloth.  This floor has a black and white stripe floor mat.
Entrance and exit turnstiles with a small green signboard with the word ‘PUSH’ in the middle can be found directly opposite the blue reception table. The back wall of the reception table is a board filled with varying colors of heart-shaped cut papers and a message, “I love my Mum”.  The knee-height bushes surrounding the venue can be seen through the glass walls.

Moving Around Pelican Park Recreation Centre

Accessible Equipment at Pelican Park Recreation Centre

Gymnasium at Pelican Park Recreation Centre

he automatic double glass doors to the Gymnasium at Pelican Park Recreation Centre are open. Seen on the upper corner of the glass door is a piece of paper that says “NO TOWEL, NO TRAIN” and some blue marketing posters at the bottom. A glimpse of the machines and varying pieces of equipment utilized by guests can be seen through the open door. Adjacent to the gymnasium door is the door toward the pools. Inside the pool facility is a water station for drinking.
There is a wooden reception desk with a black painted countertop for the Gymnasium to the left after the double glass doors. A computer set and office supplies occupied most of the space on the table. The gymnasium has a black and grey floor mat, except for the neon green floor mat in front of the mirrors. Several cardio equipment and machines, as well as hand weights, are accessible inside. Wall fans are mounted on the white wall to the left, while TVs are mounted to the right wall.
