Arrival at Oakey Aquatic Centre

Oakey Aquatic Centre, located on Campbell Street, features an open-air community pool, home to the Oakey Swim Team. The centre includes a 50 metre lap pool, a toddler splash pool, and a play area. Parking is available directly in front, with one accessible car parking space. 

From the parking area, a step-free concrete ramp leads to a covered walkway. The ticket and reception counter is on the left, with entrance through a low black metal gate. Reception & Amenities

Upon entering the Oakey Aquatic Centre through the small metal gate, the reception window for ticket purchases is on the left. Nearby, a window displays swim gear, snacks, and drinks. Following the concrete pathway, turning right leads to the amenities block. 

The first door on the left opens to the female toilet and changing room. Next is the accessible all-gender bathroom with a toilet, shower, grab bars, shower bench, hand basin, mirrors, and chair. Further along is the family change room, followed by the male toilet and change room. 

Concrete pathways link the entrance to the pool facilities and amenities, ensuring easy access.

Pool Area

The open-air pool area includes a 6-lane, 50 metre pool, and a toddlers' splash pool. From the entrance, the toddlers' pool is directly ahead, with a 0.5 metre depth, handrails, water features, and a blue shade canopy. 

To the left is the 50 metre pool, featuring a step-free ramp with handrails for easy access. Various shaded structures with seating surround the pool deck, offering comfortable areas to rest. 

The area is bordered by green grass, trees, and a white corrugated fence, creating a calm environment. An aquatic wheelchair is available for use, and pool covers may be in place depending on the time and season.
