Arrival at Millmerran Indoor Sports Centre

The Millmerran Indoor Sports Centre is a domed corrugated iron structure with a large open parking area, including two accessible car parking spaces on the right. From the parking area, there is a step-free concrete ramp leading to the entrance.

Entrance & Reception

Millmerran Indoor Sports Centre has a spacious entrance leading to an outward-opening glass door. The exterior features green corrugated walls and a covered entryway. Access is provided by a two-tier step with handrails or a ramp with handrails located to the right. 

Inside, the large indoor sports hall has polished wooden floors. The reception desk is on the right, while tables and chairs are arranged on the left. The hall is equipped for various sports activities. The space is well-lit with natural and artificial lighting, creating an open and welcoming atmosphere.

Basketball Courts

The Millmerran Indoor Sports Centre has a high, arched metal roof, creating an industrial and warehouse-like feel. The polished timber floorboards produce a loud, hollow echo. On the left side, there is seating for spectators. The area includes basketball hoops, gymnastics equipment, and soccer goals, with ample light provided by bright lighting and large windows.

Accessible bathrooms with grab bars can be reached by following the marked pathways near the seating area. The hall's open layout is suited for various sports and activities, offering a functional and welcoming environment.

Gymnasium

The gym is a spacious, single-storey facility within the Millmerran Indoor Sports Centre next to the basketball courts. It features a variety of exercise equipment, including treadmills, weight machines, and free weights. The walls are painted in vibrant orange and blue, creating an energetic atmosphere. 

The two entrances have a manual door metal roller door and the flooring is wooden, providing a warm feel. There are large windows for natural light, and ceiling fans for ventilation.  The wooden floorboards may become loud with bouncing exercise balls and people dropping heavy weights.
