The Manning Aquatic Leisure Centre, located on Manning River Drive in Taree, is a low-set modern facility with large glass windows and a combination of metal and brick materials.  

In front of the building is a spacious car park with accessible car parking spaces. Step-free access leads from the car park to the entrance, which is bordered by landscaped gardens.  

The surrounding area includes green lawns and trees, creating a calm and pleasant environment.

Entrance & Reception

The Manning Aquatic Leisure Centre entrance features automatic glass sliding doors. Inside, the space is open with high ceilings and natural light, with carpeted flooring.

To the left is the reception area, which has a white front and a lower-height counter to accommodate seated assistance. Behind the reception desk is a fridge displaying cold drinks.  

In the centre is a small retail area showcasing swim gear and swim accessories. Visitors are likely checking in, purchasing items, or heading towards the pool area. The atmosphere is active, with people preparing for swimming or fitness activities.

Indoor Aquatic Centre

The Indoor Aquatic Centre features a 25-metre heated indoor program pool and a leisure pool with a gentle slope. Large windows provide natural light, and the surrounding floor is red.

Access to the pool area is via a ramp or stairs with handrails from the main entrance. The 25-metre pool includes stairs with handrails, a pool lift, and an aquatic wheelchair. Lane markers indicate varying swimming speeds. Lifeguards in red and yellow uniforms oversee the area.  

To the right of the pool area is an accessible bathroom with a toilet, grab bars, a shower, and a shower bench. Visitors are likely to engage in swimming, water exercises, or relaxation.

Outdoor Aquatic Centre

The Outdoor Aquatic Centre is accessible from the indoor pool area through an outward-opening glass door. The space is a secured swimming complex enclosed by black metal gates, surrounded by greenery and shaded seating areas.  

Directly ahead is a 50-metre pool with eight lanes and starting blocks. Shade structures with tables and chairs are positioned around the pool.  

Across the pool is a tiered grandstand, which can be accessed via steps or a ramp with handrails. The grandstand includes a dedicated space for wheelchair users. Visitors are likely swimming, relaxing, or watching events, creating a dynamic and active environment.

Gymnasium

To access the gymnasium from the entrance, turn right and pass through an inward-opening glass door. Inside, the space is well-lit, with black rubber tiles underfoot and large glass windows overlooking the pool.  

On the left is a reception table and a storage rack for belongings. Further along the left, treadmills and cardio machines are arranged in rows. Strength training machines are distributed throughout the gym.  

A green turf area is positioned in the centre for functional training. An outward-opening glass door leads to an outdoor training area with black rubber tiles and a shade cloth. This space includes free weights and a boxing bag.

Group Exercise Room

To access the Group Fitness Room from the entrance, turn left and enter through an outward opening glass door. The area is a spacious fitness room with large glass windows allowing natural light to flood in. The architecture is modern, with white walls and a high ceiling featuring ceiling fans and bright overhead lights.

The floor is carpeted, providing a soft surface for exercise. Equipment like weights and mats are neatly arranged along the walls.  People are likely to engage in fitness classes or personal workouts here.

Yoga Room
