Arrival at Manning Aquatic Centre

Manning Aquatic Centre, situated on Elizabeth Street within Bathurst's central business district, is surrounded by low-rise commercial buildings, established trees, and a neighbouring bowls club. The facility has a striking streetscape with elements of red brick, blue-coloured concrete, steel, and glass.

The car park is conveniently located on the east and southern sides, featuring a step-free ramp leading to a portico shelter extending from the entrance. A prominent facility banner adorns the blue walls to the right, and visitors can enter through an automatic glass sliding door.

Entrance to Manning Aquatic Centre

Upon entering through the automatic glass sliding door, the reception is on the right, featuring prominent yellow countertops and façade. Directly ahead are the turnstiles for members and paid ticket holders.

Moving past the turnstiles is a retail area displaying clothing, swimwear, and goggles, with additional items showcased behind the reception desk. Raised planter boxes with indoor plants line the left side, providing additional privacy to the aquatic facility beyond.

Indoor Aquatic Centre

To access the Indoor Aquatic Facility, move past the planter boxes to the right of the reception. Alternatively, move left towards the Café & exit to the external pool area. Upon entry is the Leisure Pool featuring a lazy river ride with umbrella water features & the walled toddler area. 

In the middle is the program pool often used for water aerobics classes. Aquatic wheelchairs are available for use. Further to the right is a 25m lap pool with ladder access at each corner, stepped entry, & a pool hoist at the closest corner.

To the right is the spa & sauna area. Bathrooms are available adjacent to the 25m pool and includes an accessible bathroom with a shower and adult change table.

In the middle is the Leisure Pool with a lazy river ride, umbrella water features, and a walled toddler area. The pool is surrounded by an overflow grid. On the left, there is bench seating and a free-standing banner on the pool deck. To the right is the Program Pool equipped with handrails. Outdoor Aquatic Centre

Accessing the Outdoor Aquatic Pool at Manning Aquatic Centre is possible via two ways. First, turn left from the reception, head towards the Café, and pass through the manual outward-opening glass door. Second, the frequently used access point is through the middle of the indoor pools, often utilised by entire school groups.

The 50m lap pool, equipped with handrails on all corners, is adjacent to a shaded grandstand and surrounded by grassed areas. The external aquatic centre features a grassed perimeter with picnic tables, making it a common spot for sunbathing and exercise.

Accessing the outdoor pool is through a manual, outward-opening glass door leading to the Outdoor Aquatic Centre. Manicured grass surrounds both sides, with a rubbish bin positioned on the right. The 50m Lap Pool is directly ahead, featuring floating ropes in alternating shades of red,  white, and blue.
