Arrival - Front
The Logan Entertainment Centre is located along Wembley Rd, Logan Central. The low-set building, made of concrete and glass, is built into a sloping hillside. The front car park has a boom gate, which is open during shows, and six accessible car parking spaces in two locations. There are step-free pathways and concrete ramps with handrails leading to the entrances. A staircase with handrails provides alternative access.
The area is next to a busy road, with vehicle noises and crunching gravel in the background. People arrive for events, adding to an exciting atmosphere. The open space and clear pathways make navigation straightforward.
Arrival - Back
The car park is open and has a high density of parked vehicles due to its shared use with the local council offices. Two accessible car parking spaces are conveniently located near the entrance. From the car park, there are wide, step-free concrete pathways leading to the entrance.
The architecture features modern buildings with a mix of glass and metal, offering a sleek and professional aesthetic. The area is bustling with office workers moving between their cars and the council offices, creating a lively yet organised atmosphere. Visitors will observe people parking, walking to offices, or navigating the pathways in a calm and professional setting.
Entrance & Box Office
The Logan Entertainment Centre has a modern design with glass and metal elements. The entrance is step-free with automatic glass doors. Inside, carpeted floors and soft lighting create a welcoming space. To the right, an elevator and stairs with handrails lead to the balcony, whilst the Lounge area is on the left. A seating area with couches offers a place to rest or wait.
Further ahead, the Box Office has a grey front with a lower desk for seated assistance. Continuing down the lobby, there's an accessible bathroom that includes grab bars and a baby changing station. Further down are the male and female bathrooms. People are collecting tickets, mingling, and preparing for shows.
Lounge Bar
The Lounge Bar area sits between the main entrance and the Box Office. The space has dim lighting, dark colours, and a mix of soft carpeting and dark panelling. Seating options are spread throughout, extending into the foyer. A bar counter is positioned at the end of the foyer.
There are wide pathways and clear signage to support accessibility. People are standing or sitting in groups, enjoying drinks or queuing at the bar during intermissions. The mood is relaxed, with social interaction and a sense of anticipation as guests prepare for the show.
Limelight Café
The Limelight Café has a modern design with large glass windows and automatic glass doors for step-free entry. The floor is covered with polished tiles that may cause glare. Inside, the low ceiling has fluorescent lights and large glass windows offering a view outside.
Upon entry, tables and chairs and the café counter are on the left. Moving to the right, there is a unisex accessible bathroom fitted with grab bars and next to it are the male and female bathrooms. Wide pathways and ramps support accessibility. People are grabbing a quick bite or beverage, standing and talking in groups before a show. The space is lively and busy, designed for social interaction and quick dining.
Auditorium
The auditorium is a large, soundproofed space with tiered seating designed for optimal viewing and acoustics. It can accommodate more than 670 guests. The architecture features modern materials, dark walls, and carpeted floors, enhancing sound absorption. Accessibility is evident with wide aisles and clear signage.
The atmosphere is calm and focused, with patrons likely watching performances quietly. The space is designed for performances, lectures, or presentations, with a stage and lighting setup that can change the ambiance based on the event.
Balcony Seating Areas
The balcony seating area is accessible via stairs with handrails and an elevator from the foyer. Coming out from the lift, turn left towards a carpeted lobby and enter through an outward-opening door. The architecture features a modern design with large glass windows providing ample natural light. There are dedicated wheelchair seating spaces, allowing comfort and convenience.
Inside, the steep tiered seating overlooks the stage, which may induce a sense of height or vertigo for some. The atmosphere is calm and anticipatory as patrons prepare to enjoy performances. People are likely to be seated, watching the stage, and engaging in quiet conversation.
