Arrival
Kawana Aquatic Centre is located on Sportsman Parade in Bokarina. The building is a low-set structure with glass and concrete elements and vertical slat accents in neutral tones. The facility has five heated swimming pools designed for lessons, fitness, and leisure, catering to all ages.
In front of the venue, the car park is spacious and well-organised, with two accessible car parking spaces providing direct access to the entrance. From the carpark, a step-free concrete ramp leads to the main doors. The slightly hilly terrain may present some challenges for those with limited mobility.
The setting is lively, with the sounds of children playing, birds calling, and visitors coming and going. A nearby lake provides a calm visual contrast

A concrete path through the grass leads to the 50m heated pool, which has step entry at both ends. Nearby are picnic tables, a barbecue area with chairs under umbrellas, and an undercover space for shade and gatherings. Wide paths and step-free access support mobility needs.
The setting is active, with people swimming, diving, relaxing, and enjoying barbecues. Music, announcements, and the sound of children playing create a lively atmosphere.
Community Room
The community room is located to the right of the entrance, past the amenities, with access through a glass sliding door. Inside, the space has timber floors, a brown ceiling, and white walls, with large windows allowing natural light. Another sliding door opens to a small courtyard.
