Arrival
Helensvale Aquatic Centre is located on Rugby Lane, off Discovery Drive in Helensvale. The arrival area includes an open car park next to a school and sports grounds. Three accessible car parking spaces are positioned close to the entrance. The building is a low-set brick structure with a steep corrugated roof fitted with solar panels.
A step-free concrete pathway connects the carpark to the main entrance. The surroundings include natural scents from nearby creek trees, mulch and pine. People are often seen arriving, parking and entering the facility. The setting is open and airy, supporting a calm and welcoming atmosphere.
Entrance and Café
The entrance to the facility is through a narrow breezeway with brick walls, leading to a reception counter on the right. Visitors can purchase tickets and snacks at the counter. A ramp with handrails provides access to the bathroom area. The accessible bathroom is fitted with grab bars and entered through an inward-opening door.
An aquatic wheelchair and a pool hoist are available for use by visitors with limited mobility. The area is active, with people queuing, making purchases, or moving towards the pool. The sounds of conversation and footsteps reflect a lively environment as people prepare to swim and socialise.
Outdoor Aquatic Centre
The outdoor aquatic centre includes a step-free beach entry pool with a ramp and a heated 25-metre lane pool. A children’s splash park is located nearby. Bright shade sails and water play features are installed throughout the area. Surrounding the pools are shaded tables, chairs and grassy areas suitable for sitting or resting.

Indoor Heated Pool
