Entry to Gympie ARC

The Gympie Aquatic Recreation Centre's entrance is accessible through metal grill doors, which are open during the day and locked at night. Immediately to the left of the entrance, is the reception area, the café as well as access to the indoor pool and the bathrooms.

Directly ahead, the children's aquatic play area is visible to the right, and further along is the outdoor pool and waterslide. A walkway on the right leads to the fitness area and a green space featuring seating areas and shade.

A closer look at the reception area. Inside the reception area, fluorescent lighting floods the space, ensuring ample illumination. You'll find essential items like swimming slippers and backup swimwear readily available, making it convenient for visitors. Before entering the interior of the ARC, there are noticeable metal grill doors that add to the modern and secure atmosphere of the facility.

Moving around the Outdoor Aquatic Facility at Gympie ARC

The outdoor aquatic area at Gympie ARC includes a splash park, outdoor pool, and waterslide. The splash park features a small blue waterslide and a bucket that fills and splashes water, where children commonly play.

Adjacent to this is the outdoor swimming pool, surrounded by grass, seating areas, and umbrellas. For amenities, there are two unisex bathrooms with a shower, ambulant toilets with hand grabs, and a bathroom with a shower and baby change area.

Leading towards the hall is a wide-ranging hallway sectioned by a lush lawn. Adjacently positioned at the forefront of the building with facilities are a series of blue patio umbrellas perfect for the comfort of shade. Several poles are also scattered within the area. Several sights of greenery surround the vicinity, as well as some tables and chairs with a huge slide lying in the center area.
Enormous white sunshades with canopies stretching widely to protect from the heat of the sun as they provide shade overhead the benches and tables placed near and beneath. A dark-colored storage rack can also be seen midway through the placement of seats. Not so far beyond is the well-trodden area of space for the pool as well as an area intended for parking motorcycles and bikes.
An alignment of blue slides centered between cone markers neatly lined on light blue colored floors suitable for training and sports. Several black poles are dispersed in the surroundings just in the right places. The overall impression generates a diverting amusement of both fun and challenge being brought into execution.

Amenities surrounding the outdoor pools at Gympie ARC

Amenities near the outdoor pools at Gympie ARC are situated in two sections: one close to the fitness centre and another adjacent to the outdoor pool. The facilities include accessible all-gender bathrooms equipped with a shower and baby change area and separate male and female bathrooms.

Seasonal bird nesting occurs in this zone. Seating is available on open verandahs that encircle a central garden area. The entirety of this section is surrounded by additional garden spaces.

Located outside the bathrooms is a large, open air verandah with a central garden and features dark, wooden surfaces, a thatched roof and spaces to take a seat.

Gymnasium at Gympie ARC

The Gymnasium at the Gympie ARC is located to the right of the main entrance via pathways. The floor is covered in dark grey rubber matting. The gym is equipped with various cardio machines, weight machines, and a designated free weight area.

Cardio machines are situated to the left, aligned with the length of the windows. To the right, additional equipment such as weight machines runs parallel to the length of the wall.

Everything is neatly organized and easily accessible. The walls are painted in a clean and crisp white color, creating a bright and inviting atmosphere. Throughout the entire gym, the illumination is provided by overhead fluorescent lights.

Indoor Heated Pool at Gympie ARC

The indoor pool at Gympie ARC measures 25m and is fully enclosed. It is heated between 28°C and 29.5°C and offers both ramp and step access. Glass windows on two sides provide natural light.

The amenities include two unisex bathrooms with showers and baby change facilities, and an additional male and female bathroom with showers. This area also has two aquatic wheelchairs and a hoist available for use.

Inside the Indoor Heated Pool. The indoor pool at Gympie ARC spans 25 meters and is entirely enclosed. It maintains a comfortable temperature range between 28°C and 29.5°C and offers access through both ramps and steps. Natural light streams in through glass windows on two sides. Additionally, you can spot a couple of aquatic wheelchairs and a pool hoist, with informative signage positioned next to one of the aquatic wheelchairs.

Inside the pool, blue-colored lane ropes and flags are positioned at both ends. These lane ropes separate swim lanes, and the flags help swimmers gauge their position, contributing to a safe and organized swimming environment.

The indoor pool itself is quite expansive, mirroring the spaciousness of the surrounding pathways, providing ample room for various aquatic activities.
