Arrival at the FUNctional Market Day
Join us at the Millwell Road Community Centre on the 30th of November from 10am-3pm for the FUNctional Market Day! There will be festive season shopping, arts & crafts, candles & jewellery; tasty treats, and books & stories. There will also be live entertainment (so bring along a picnic rug) and refreshments from STEPS Café. A sensory room will be available on site.
The Millwell Road Community Centre has accessible car parking spaces adjacent to the entry and drop-off is also available. Additional parking can be found at the back. From the carpark, paved, step-free concrete pathways lead to a double outward-opening glass door.
Event Day Setup
The venue is a spacious hall with high ceilings and exposed metal beams, creating an industrial feel. The floor is polished wood, which may cause some glare from the bright spotlights above.
Tables are set up with colourful displays, showcasing various crafts and products. The environment is lively, with people engaging in conversations and browsing stalls. Visitors are likely to be shopping, socializing, and enjoying the vibrant atmosphere, which feels energetic and bustling. Visiting dogs may be heard barking.
Entrance to the FUNctional Market Day
The entrance area features a manual outward opening glass door, leading into a hallway. The building's exterior is clad in light green timber, providing a natural and welcoming feel. A keypad for locks is located on the right side of the door, enhancing security. Meeting Room 3
Meeting Room 3 is a versatile space with a neutral color scheme, featuring carpeted floors and large windows covered by dark blinds. The room can be divided into two sections, making it adaptable for different group sizes. It includes a TV and a whiteboard for presentations. Tables and chairs are arranged neatly, providing a functional setup for meetings or workshops. The first door next to the office leads to this room.
Meeting Room 2
Meeting Room 2 is a simple, functional space with neutral-colored walls and carpeted flooring. It features large, dark blinds covering the windows, providing a controlled lighting environment. The room is equipped with a wall-mounted TV, a ceiling fan, and an air conditioning unit, ensuring comfort. Stacked chairs and a foldable table suggest flexibility in room setup. The entrance is through an inward opening door labeled 'Meeting Room 2'. The hallway leading to the room is wide and well-lit.
Meeting Room 1
Meeting Room 1 is a large meeting area, located at the end of a long, well-lit hallway. The architecture is modern with clean lines, featuring glass doors and a carpeted floor that softens footsteps. The room itself is spacious, with a carpeted floor and walls painted in neutral tones. It is equipped with chairs and tables, arranged for meetings or workshops. Entrance is through a wide inward opening door.
Hallway
The hallway is modern, with smooth light-coloured walls and a polished floor. The architecture is simple, featuring clear signage on the right for the first aid room. An outward-opening glass door leads to male, female, and all-gender accessible toilets.
The accessible toilet is spacious, equipped with a toilet and shower, grab bars, a shower bench, a hand basin, and a baby-changing station, and operates with a push button. The area is well-lit, with natural light streaming through glass doors at the hallway's end. People are likely passing through to access these facilities or seek assistance.
Kitchen
The kitchen area, accessible through an inward-opening door, has a modern setup with dark cabinetry and stainless steel appliances, including a large oven and range hood. The kitchen has a spacious layout, and rolling doors open to an outside service area, ensuring efficient movement and service. From the main entrance, follow the hallway, turn left at the end, and enter through an inward-opening glass door.

Community Hall

Outdoors
The outdoor area features an open space with a shaded walkway runs alongside the building, offering protection from the sun. The outdoor area is accessible from the hall. The space includes tables and chairs under the shade of trees, ideal for relaxation or gatherings.
The environment is calm and welcoming, with a focus on outdoor enjoyment. People are likely to engage in leisurely activities, such as picnicking or socialising, enjoying the music and entertainment.
