Arrival & Car Park
Cooroy Badminton Club is a single-storey building with a corrugated grey façade composed of metal and concrete. The car park, located in front of the community gardens, has a loop design with ample parking spaces, including accessible car parking spaces marked with signage and painted symbols.
Flat, paved pathways bordered by grass lead from the car park to the building’s shaded entrance. The area is surrounded by greenery, offering a calm and natural environment. The layout ensures easy access for visitors and provides a functional and welcoming approach to the facility.
Entrance
The entrance to Cooroy Badminton Club is through an outward-opening wooden door. Inside, the interior features green metal walls and a high ceiling. The floor combines wood and green sports flooring. To the left, a long wooden table sits beneath a large whiteboard affixed to the wall. A trophy cabinet showcasing the club’s achievements is prominently displayed.
Further in, a reception desk with a large sponsor banner is positioned near a seating area with tables and chairs. The space is designed for sports, meetings, and social events, creating a lively atmosphere with a strong sense of community and activity.
Courts
The Cooroy Badminton Club courts have three dedicated courts with a green floor marked by clear white lines. The structure is made of metal and corrugated panels, creating a spacious and ventilated area. Large fans are installed overhead for ventilation, and fluorescent lights hang from the ceiling, providing bright and even lighting.
Along one side, tables and chairs are arranged for spectators or players to rest between games. The space supports badminton matches, practice sessions, and social gatherings, maintaining an active and energetic environment.
Amenities
The club has a functional kitchen and bathroom area located on the right side of the courts, accessed through an inward-opening green door. The kitchen features white brick walls with timber floors, a stainless steel sink, and basic appliances, including a microwave and fridge.
Beyond the kitchen are bathrooms and showers with blue-tiled floors and shower benches. Separate male and female toilets with multiple stalls are available. The bathrooms are also accessible from the courts via a hallway with white-tiled walls and blue-tiled floors.
The space is clean and practical, illuminated by fluorescent lighting, supporting meal preparation, dining, and personal hygiene.
