Coolum Tennis Club Visual Story
Arrival
The Coolum Tennis Club features accessible car parking spaces with two designated spots near the entrance. The clubhouse is located to the left of the entrance, with the tennis courts straight ahead. The area is surrounded by lush greenery and trees, providing shade and a pleasant atmosphere.
From the parking area, there is a step-free concrete ramp that leads to black metal gates. Turn left to access the Tennis Club building, passing through a picnic table on the left and the tennis court on the right. The venue is well-maintained and offers a welcoming environment for tennis enthusiasts.
Decking
The deck has a timber floor and faces the tennis court. Guests can access it via a single step with handrails or use the timber ramp with handrails on the right. Plastic chairs are arranged along the wall for seating, and a drinking fountain is nearby.
To the right is a toilet block with a grey corrugated exterior and three doors. The first door leads to the female toilet, the second to the male toilet, and the last to an accessible toilet. Inside the accessible toilet, there is a toilet and a shower with grab bars.
Clubhouse
The Clubhouse at Coolum Tennis Club is accessible via a single step or an accessible ramp on the left. To enter, go through a manual mesh door. On the left, there is a couch, tables, chairs, and a fridge stocked with cold drinks. On the right is a reception desk, with a wooden board behind it listing members' names and achievements.
Further in, there is a small sales area displaying sports merchandise such as tennis rackets and shoes on the walls. A counter with snacks and a small ice cream freezer is also available. The space is well-lit by natural light from the windows and overhead fluorescent lights.
Tennis Courts
Coolum Tennis Club has 4 hard courts and 2 synthetic turf courts. The hard courts are accessible via wide open gates from the decking area or by turning right past the black metal gates from the parking area. On the right, bench chairs are lined up under shade structures for spectators.
At the far end, a gate leads to the synthetic turf courts. The courts are surrounded by wire fences and shaded seating areas. Concrete pathways provide easy wheelchair access. The area is well-maintained, with greenery and benches for spectators. All courts are equipped with lighting for evening play.
