Arrival at Camberwell Grammar Aquatic

Camberwell Grammar Aquatic is accessed through the Camberwell Grammar School, via gate number 3 off Mont Albert Road. Driving through the school toward the sports centre and down a ramp to an underground car park reveals a 250 regular car park with 4 accessible car parking spaces. The Ngaere Wilson Pool can be seen through an extensive glass wall separating the car park from the aquatic centre.

Entering Camberwell Grammar Aquatic

To enter the facility, there is step-free access from the carpark to a manual glass door. Inside, the open space features black rubber flooring. Brightly colored displays within the glass cabinet on the left side, showcasing anatomical and physiological images, set a professional sports environment tone.

The reception counter is low-set with a glass sliding partition barrier. Nearby, an accessible all-gender bathroom is equipped with a toilet featuring hand grabs, a shower with a bench and handrails, and a hand basin, providing convenience close to the reception area.

Moving around Ngaere Wilson Pool

Within this area, a 32-degree heated learning pool and an indoor heated 50-meter pool are featured. Additionally, there is a small 2-tier concrete grandstand for seating. The learn-to-swim pool includes a stepped entry with handrails and a hoist for accessibility.

Accessible equipment at Camberwell Grammar Aquatic

Camberwell Grammar Aquatic boasts a range of enhanced accessible features throughout the facility, including an all-gender accessible bathroom and a family change room. Within the change room area, lockers are available, and long bench chairs offer seating while waiting to use the facility.

The 50-meter pools are equipped with both a ramp and steps with handrails for entry. Additionally, there is a pool hoist entry option for the learn-to-swim pool, ensuring easier access for visitors with mobility issues.
