Arrival at Beerwah Library

Beerwah Library on Peachester Road adjoins the Beerwah Community Hall and Beerwah Meeting Place. The entrance has wide, automatic glass doors, offering easy access for all. Inside, a seating area is to the left, with a book display directly ahead. 

To the right, an outward-opening glass door leads into the main library area. Outside the library, a set of male, female, and unisex all-gender toilets includes a changing room with grab bars and a baby change station.

Visitors are likely browsing books, using a computer, or attending events in a calm, inviting space ideal for quiet study and exploration.

Foyer

The foyer is is spacious and well-lit, featuring modern architecture with large glass windows and a mix of carpeted and tiled flooring. The customer service desk is located on the right, prominent, with a bright yellow front, and is equipped with a computer for staff assistance.  A shelf holding returned books is behind the reception.

Nearby are self-service kiosks for borrowing books. The environment is calm and organized, with clear signage for easy navigation. Visitors will likely engage in activities such as returning books, seeking assistance, or browsing the shelves.

Lounge Area

The lounge at Beerwah Library offers a cosy reading area overlooking a serene lake, creating a peaceful environment for visitors. Accessible by turning left from the outward-opening entrance door, the space features large glass windows, filling the room with natural light and providing views of the greenery outside. 

The interior is modern, with comfortable chairs and small tables suitable for reading or quiet conversation. Shelves are stocked with newspapers, books, and DVDs, catering to various interests. Wide aisles and accessible seating make the area suitable for all, promoting relaxation or focused study.

Children Area

To access this area, turn left from the entrance, passing the lounge and reading area. Shelves filled with books line the space, and there are comfortable seating options, including armchairs and a circular cushioned nook built into a shelf.

The library is busiest in the morning during Storytime and Rhymetime (Tuesdays and Fridays at 9:30) and after 2:30 pm during school terms and holidays. For a quieter space, a meeting room is available.

Computer Area
