Beach Wheelchair

A beach wheelchair is available for use at Kings Beach during volunteer patrol hours. A beach mat is positioned across the sand to assist with wheelchair movement towards the water and fountains. The wheelchair must only be used in safe weather and water conditions. Before use, all components must be inspected.

The user must wear a lifejacket, be secured with a seatbelt, and stay accompanied by a carer at all times. The carer is responsible for assessing manoeuvrability and consulting lifesavers for water safety advice. The wheelchair is not permitted during severe weather, rough currents, or unsafe conditions
