The reception area of the Sea World Resort is very spacious and with high ceilings. Patterned carpets are the immediate floor covering with white tiled areas filling a reception and corridor space. On the left wall is the word Reception and a dolphin design above the text of which is back lit to help set a calm mood for the space. The Reception counter close by is staffed with service personnel.

Taken directly at the entrance to The Shoreline restaurant it is possible to view the large servery and buffet benches toward the top right. Toward the left are various seating and table options on an elevated 3 step platform. Directly in front is a small queueing rope and dark brown flooring.

The main foyer of the Sea World Resort is very spacious and with high ceilings. A timbered floor extends directly ahead toward a cafe area. Either side of the timber floor are patterned carpets and further each side are white tiled areas creating sense of distinct zones.

On the right wall is the word Concierge and a dolphin design above the text of which is back lit to help set a calm mood for the space. Further past the concierge desk is a small sitting area with three people talking casually.

VISION

• Have an appropriate area for toileting an assistance dog

• Have Exit signs which are visible at a ground level (high level signs are difficult to see in a fire)

• Use easy read fonts in our signage and communication materials (montserrat)

• Have effective lighting throughout facility.

• Have handrails on all our stairways

• Have tactile tiles prior to bathroom entrance

HEARING

• Have TVs with captioning option

• Have visual alerts for emergencies (Include flashing light)

• Have a low noise reception areas with hearing loss friendly acoustics and adequate lighting for viewing facial expressions (includes common areas which are free of background noise, background music)

• Auslan interpreters booked to support AITCAP 23 presentations

PHYSICAL - MOBILITY

• Use floors/coverings which are slip resistant, firm and smooth

• Use non-slip tiles in the bathroom or slip resistant matting

• Have grab rails in the bathroom

• Provide seating in common areas including reception area. Seating provided is a variety/range and include some with back rests and arm rests.

PHYSICAL - WHEELCHAIR

• Have step free outdoor pathways

• Have step free access to the conference or function room

• Have an accessible public toilet which is unlocked

• Have a wheelchair/scooter charging station (power point) in an accessible location

• Provide portable hoist

• Have a wheelchair accessible toilet

• Provide a low height counter suitable for a person using a wheelchair or a person of small stature

• 3 Accessible Car spaces. More accessible spaces available upon request.
