The event includes the Nippers and features the laying of wreaths. During the minute silence, surf boats off the shore raise their oars and the event also features the appearance of a lone light horseman patrolling the shoreline.
Veterans wanting to participate in the march should meet at the southern club car park by 4:30 am. A gate to the left of The Surf Club entrance (north side) provides access for wheelchair users or with mobility issues. The gate enters into a restricted area, so will be attended by a security member.
