Sports House Brisbane Visual Story
Arrival
Sports House Brisbane is a two-storey building located on a slightly sloping hill beside Suncorp Stadium in Caxton Street. The building has a yellow and blue exterior with large windows on both floors and a balcony on the upper floor. To the left, the upper balcony is visible, supported by blue pillars.
The entrance is directly accessible from a small car park out the front, which includes a designated accessible car parking space on the right. Step-free access leads from the car park to a sliding glass door entrance at the centre.
Surrounding the building are large trees and landscaped areas, blending natural elements with the urban setting of the street.
Reception & Ground
Upon entering through the automatic sliding glass door, a central pillar with a directory sign is ahead, listing offices and facilities. Indoor plants line both sides. The reception area is in the centre with a blue and white desk. In front of the desk is a staircase with handrails to Level 1. To the right is a carpeted corridor leading to Offices 1.02 to 1.08, housing sports offices.
Back at the reception, a lobby leads to Offices 1.09 to 1.14. A seating area is on the left, and across is a lift with the male toilet next to it. Further down the corridor, a door on the right leads to the female toilet and an accessible bathroom with handrails and a shower. The environment is quiet with occasional echoes.
Level 1
To access Level 1, ascend the two flights of stairs with handrails located in front of the reception desk. At the top, a seating area is directly ahead. Turning right leads to Meeting Room 1. Adjacent to the seating area on the right is a corridor that provides access to various offices. On the left, there is a vending machine for drinks, followed by the lift and the male toilet.
Next is the accessible bathroom with a shower, hand grabs, and shower bench. To its right is the female toilet. Continuing through the corridor leads to various sports offices. Back in the main lobby, moving right leads to another corridor with doors to sports offices. Directly ahead is Meeting Room 3, followed by Meeting Room 2.
Meeting Rooms
The meeting rooms on Level 1 can be accessed via stairs from the reception or a lift located to the left. Exiting the lift on Level 1, the first door on the right is Meeting Room 1. Inside, a conference table with office chairs is in the centre. At the end, a door leads to a small kitchen area with cabinets, a stove oven, and a sink.
Back in the main corridor, the first door on the right is Meeting Room 3, followed by Meeting Room 2. This room has a small kitchen and access to the veranda through an outward-opening glass door.
The verandah overlooks the street and parking area. All meeting rooms are carpeted, air-conditioned, and equipped with large tables, comfortable chairs, and audiovisual equipment.
