Arrival at Albany Creek Leisure Centre

The Albany Creek Leisure Centre is one of the largest venues in Northern Brisbane and is nestled into the side of a hill. The sloping car park leads down towards the facility, has eight accessible car spaces, and has ample shading from the gum and pine trees.

The open-air aquatic centre is a low-set brown brick building with a sloping corrugated iron roof and has extensive facilities covering a very large area. Pedestrian crossings and pathways leading toward the entrance are clearly marked.

Entry at Albany Creek Leisure Centre

Taking the pedestrian crossing from the car park via a small ramped entry leads to the double, sliding glass doors. A small reception and retail area is located at the entrance whilst a barrier turnstile gate controls entry to the aquatic centre.

Through the reception area to the left is the aquatic class registration and to the right is a café and playroom. Directly ahead is the 50m outdoor aquatic pool and to the left are grassed areas with extensive shade.

Moving around Albany Creek Leisure Centre

An extensive outdoor area includes a 50-metre swimming pool, which starts at 1.2 metres at the shallow end and gradually deepens to 2 metres at the deep end, and is heated to 27 degrees all year round. Whilst the indoor 15-metre heated pool has a pool depth range from 1.2 metres at the shallow end to 1.4 metres at the deep end.

The 15-metre pool is designed for classes, therapy, rehabilitation, exercise, and relaxation. There is a Changing Places Facility which is fully equipped with an accessible toilet with grab bars, an adult change table, a shower with bench, and handrails, located behind the 15-metre heated pool.

Leisure Pool & Waterslide at Albany Creek Leisure Centre

The Albany Creek Leisure Centre's Leisure Area is a vibrant family destination. Featuring a thrilling Water Slide and the Rapid River, a unique circular stream propelled by water jets, it promises endless fun. The Leisure Pool, ideal for children to swim and play, complements these attractions.

For younger guests, the Mushrooms area, with its junior slide, water spouts, and mushroom fountains, offers a delightful aquatic adventure. Open from 10 am to 4 pm on weekends from the September school holidays until Easter, and daily during the summer holidays, it's the perfect spot for family enjoyment.

Health Club at Albany Creek Leisure Centre

A fully airconditioned, 24-hour Health Club with cardio and functional training areas, as well as an extensive range of resistance machines and free weights equipment, is located within this area. There are also rooms for spin, yoga, and Pilates divided into separate and discrete sections within the health club.

An accessible bathroom is located in this area and includes a shower and toilet with handrails.
